Since the FvF simptom becomes more acute, I tought would be nice to know what race is your main character. Maybe you can even find time to drop 2-3 words to explain your choice.

I liked the looks of the trykers better when I got the game. I pre ordered the game. So when I started there was much to learn. mmmm lakelands before they patched it, making it possible to dig outside of the Q50 areas. Would I change to a different race if I had to start completely over again. No, I like my little crazy tryker. Kilgore, Jessie, may have a new tunnel to check out..wonder what is at the other end of it....lol

Always wanted to be a Zorai even before starting the game in Beta , second choice would be Tryker , cant understand why most people choose Fyros or worse still (last choice for me) Matis ewwwww

I picked Zorai specifically because they were the least populous. To be rare and distinguished, you have to be prepared to make unpopular choices.

choose Tryker as main becuase in RL I like having water around and the free spirited racial aspect seemed to fit me best as opposed to the haughty Matis, marshall fyros or mystical Zorai so easier for me to feel at home with my char rather than just be an avatar to do stuff.

During Open Beta 2, just before retail, our guild (Out of Cavern) took a vote on which race to become. We wanted to all be the same race since we knew travel between lands would be difficult at first. Matis came in first (Tryker second) and so that's what we all became.

When I first started, I cared little for how the different races looked, but went instead to reading the lore (casually, I must admit). When I came across this section, I knew I had found my true self:

To be a true Tryker, you gotta live by the virtues of freedom, equality and sharing :
- Freedom : Consider all homins responsible and free of their acts. ...
- Equality : Every homin has an equal right ... to choose their own destiny, as long as they don't encroach on other homin rights.
- Sharing : We believe that our force lies in our solidarity and that solidarity is borne from sharing.

In a bit of inconvenience, my RL friend that first told me about this fine world did not tell me what race he had chosen (Matis), so my first quest upon reaching the lakelands was ... to leave. I have since spent most of my combat training time in the forest. I think it's made me a little taller (there's Ents in these woods, I tell ya) but I'm still the same hedonistic little Tryker who believes in the tenents of our peoples.

I always suspected the OOC folks were intelligent and smart. this confirms it

I actually was leaning towards fyros or tryker more but the handful of people that made up the original Atys Dragoons outvoted me and thus we all started off Matis (same reasons as OOC ; travel in the beginning would be difficult). Thats why my low level alt is a little tryker running around Yrk.
