As I said before, I like the new animations. Wish the Matis females was changed some more, the running is a bit static looking as it is now.

Of course, I don't know how this works, but wouldn't it be VERY nice if the player could config the animations? To have a Zorai default to the new animations, but as she might have been in civilizations and learned to walk like the Matis? A Tryker might have done some honest hard work (!) and actually got some muscles, he therefore moves like a Fyros. Etc..

Freedom, as well as racial differences.

Quite right :) Running / walking is not the problem. Although i want a "better" animation for Tyrker males running :) . *wondering why no Zorai male complains*

I mentioned it earlier. Its the sit animation. For me sitting is part of the emotes and should be there where the emotes are. And they should be there for everyone.

All i can say that im really waiting something new in this game and no matter what good or bad moving animations is coming (it cant be much more awful as it is now already) feels ok with me. It's true, zorai moves like ape, but hey, i dont mind. :)

I really appreciate that my Matis avi can kneel now instead of sit, so long as ..umm... he can still sit?

So when around a campfire, we will all now be posed in a kneeling position? What's up with that? When our multi-race guild meets in our guild hall; each race isn't exactly .. umm... sitting, but posing? Yuck. Come on...please no thanks.

/kneel

My first impression of the Tryker sit position was .. "uh oh she looks bored.."

Which may be appropriate after all. At this point in time, it sure would be nice to see maybe some new clothes or armor or a new ele animation, something a little more entertaining than this trivia. I'm just dissappointed.

On the whole i preffer the current ones.

unfortunately the pole is for the whole anim set :(

fyros males looks mure butch, but so do the females....

the tryker females walk is terrible, but the run and the sit are great.

zorai walk again a bit bad, run is ok, and the new sitting position is neat.

so, can we vote in each animation one at a time.... thought not. ;)

Overall : Yes, they are better, tying in closer to the overall race styles and associated primitive tribes.

Individually :

Fyros

  • Female
    • Walking: The hands...should they be in fists? Seems a little hunkered-over.
    • Running: Much better looking arms, they aren't flailing front and back. Most excellent.
    • Sitting: Pretty much the same, so it's okay.
  • Male

    • Walking: Neck position seems a little painful, jutted out like that.
    • Running: A fantastic improvement again with the arms.
    • Sitting: Hmm, seems a little feminine. The old cross-legged or a crouch (like the new female Matis) would work well.
Matis

  • Female
    • Walking: Shoulders look a little tight.
    • Running: Stiffer elbows would be a little more appropriate. I mean, can you imagine throwing your arms down like that with every step?
    • Sitting: Well, same as Fyros male; seems out of place. If you switched them, that's be fantastic.
  • Male

    • Walking: Elbows look stiff, with the whole 'being bent but not moving.'
    • Running: Same thing as with the females: I think the elbows need to be stiffer.
    • Sitting: The crouch is good, but shouldn't turning not be allowed until the model is standing?
Tryker

  • Female
    • Walking: Torso seems jutted out a little too much. Center of gravity is hit, but it just seems a little bent.
    • Running: The torso seems to fit better here, and the hands and elbows are great.
    • Sitting: Really good. Fits the Tyker style.
  • Male

    • Walking: Very fluid, looks good.
    • Running: Hand/wrist position seems awkward, but the other bits look fine.
    • Sitting: Fits male just as well as female.
Zorai

  • Female
    • Walking: Arm movements seem...unnatural, and the walk style doesn't feel quite right with the slink.
    • Running: The loose elbow thing works well here, fitting well with the loose run.
    • Sitting: Very appropriate for the Zorai. Looks a little painful with the right leg, but feasible.
  • Male

    • Walking: The slink here looks more like a lope, which is good.
    • Running: Loping again; fits well with the overall height of the Zorai.
    • Sitting: Good, possibly better than the female, as the right leg getting pulled above the left seems a little less painful.

If you can get on the ATS to check this out, I strongly suggest you do so.
This is totally true!!!
The video clips dont give a very good view of it. I voted for 'no' as I find the animations just a bit overdone. Personally I think a tryker female with a gangster rapper walk is a bit too much.
And when I try to sit, it looks like I am selling my body as some addicted junk.

Its a bit a shame the vote is a yes or no, as the new animations have good and bad parts in it. Lets hope it can be changed a bit...
