If Nevrax reduces its animation staff and expands its programming staff then we might see less "unrequested" tweaks of the animation and (underline the following word) perhaps see the older known issues with the game fixed.

If my assumptions are incorrect then I might have to concede the point. As i alluded to in another post Western Digital would not keep fifteen EE's on staff at a given plant unless they had work for those fifteen folks.

Granted, its nice to get things you don't ask for (if they are good), but I could also make the analogy that you contracted me to build you a house and I don't do it for a year but instead paint your old shack ruby red . . .

Make sense?

Granted, I've only been playing for a few weeks (2..heh), but I think the new animations add a LOT of personality to the different races. Some of the new animations could use a bit of tweaking, but I believe Nevrax said that they would be tweaking them anyway.

Making new animations seems like a big step and I'm honestly impressed to see them. Really, the Male Tryker isn't THAT bad (in my opinion). I love the new Zorai walks and runs - it makes sense (to me) for something larger than a human to walk somewhat ackwardly, especially when living in a jungle with a tribal setting.

I've voted and I'm curious to see the results. Either way, cheers to Nevrax for continued content. I'll be signing up when my trial is over, hands down.

hello,

please take a live look on the ATS at the new animations. you will see that the fyros and tryker ladies are bouncing nervously up and down ... not very comfortable to look at while you are playing more than ten minutes at a time.

I think this subject doesn´t quite come across with the little movies shown.

The Zorai arm animations seem overly exaggerated. Too Gibbai-ish. But almost anything is better than the current run animation IMO, which is so sharp and Trykerish that it doesn't befit such a graceful-seeming race as the Zorai. :p I love the sitting animation.

The Tryker animations, male and female, seem to further accentuate their childlikeness. I pity my male Tryker character. But I really like the female Tryker sit.

The Matis seem to have retained the same animations except for sit. I can't say I like the sit...it's not really sitting, even. :( But it's somewhat better than the current.

Overall...I'm not sure whether to vote yes or no. Yes, because later on maybe they can re-edit the animations if they're absolutely intolerable.

I hate the new Zoria run.

I sort of like the new Matis sit animations, but I was fond of the old ones, too.

On the other changes, I could go either way.

As was stated, this is an all or nothing deal.

We can't vote on part of it, and there won't be any changes made to any of it in the near future.

So, the question is still...on the whole, is the new set better than the old set?

I am going to have to say no. That Zoria run is really, really bad.
Ditto. The Zorai sitting animations are awesome. The Male Fyros and Zorai running animations just seem awful to me. If it is an all or nothing deal, then I'll probably vote no and hope it gets sorted out some time.

Any chance Nevrax is brave enough to do a similar poll on Outpost PvP?

Nifty!

I wish the Fyros females were a bit more differentiated from what they already are, but overall everybody ends up with a bit of a distinctive 'tude ;)

Yeah, that's everything else than a compliment. :)

Otherwise, the new animations seems great, despite the need for some additional fine-tuning.
