The tribe in question indeed consists of Matis and Fyros homins, but I feel what races are in the tribe isn't of great importance. Or at least not to me. I have been attacked by Tryker bandits near Pyr and even though I tried to calm them with bullets flying by my ears, they wouldn't listen. I had no choice but kill them in self defense.

My problem with the Slavers is what they are doing. They are keeping slaves. Not prisoners, not warmonging homins or Kami followers or anything. They are keeping those homins as slaves. I would consider them slavers even if they would be Trykers and they would keep Matis as slaves.

It could be that the Karavan are indeed there to convince them to abandon their current ways. But if this is the case, why did the Karavan ambassadors refuse to give an answer on this topic? I mean they are happy to inform us what items they need and what tasks we can perform to help their cause. Why the silence? *sigh*

I do have some interesting news however. I've heard that even the Tryker government wants these homins dead for what they have done. I will speak to the authorities and see what information I can gather.

IIRC there is a mission available in Widermeer to kill some members of the Slavers who are an enemy tribe (to Trykers as nation).

Wonder what will happen to Karavan and Kami fame when we kill some of them with the mission active...

I have made a return visit to the Slavers camp, and they do regard Matisians kindly. I did not take on any tasks from them out of regard for our Tryker allies, but I also have no intention of alienating them as it is a very useful haven on the route across Bounty Beach.
the three Tryker slaves would not respond to my questions about how they came to be there, leading me to suspect they were ashamed of themselves, possibly sentenced to slavery for crimes against the Commonwealth.
If they thought they had any chance of escape or rescue while still within the reaches of the Lakelands, they would have been uncontrollable, for everyone knows you cant keep a Tryker down, not even if you nail them to the floor :D

It hasn'e quite clicked yet has it? The Karavan are not looking out for Homin interest. They don't CARE whether or not any keeps slaves. That's not what they're here for. They're here for all those mats and wares you homins fight so hard to make and harvest during quests.
