Me neither; I just use 1 out of 4 of my cp actions dependant on what bars drop and how fast. Which leaves me alternating and pressing a lot of shortcuts really just to maximize the efficiency of my extraction skills and focus.

After lvl 10 harvesting the 'immunity' lifts indeed and you really should be working with gentle extractions and careplans or there' s a big chance you' ll be meeting your maker. (send us a word back as to who that just is now; some souls down here are heavily debating about that it seems) ;)

I sort of understand the Modes, but only in a vague way.

All apparrently have a base value, modified by a random amount

Also, these are the reactions when using a gentle speed/harmful rate/gentle quality brick, with terrain spec. Very different results may occur when using all gentle or all harmful, though I have not noticed any change in the effect of the modes with or without mat spec.

0: Fairly mellow drops in stability, very little effect on health

1: Moderate drops in stability, light effect on health

2: Moderate drops in health, light effect on stability

3: Very fast drops in both, but mostly stability

4: Fairly mellow drops in health, very little effect on stability

5: A bit of a wild-card, seems to decrease health more than stability, but not enough consistancy to be sure.

Like I said, they are modified by a random amount. Although it is rare, I have seen, for example, source mode 2 reduce stability and leave source-life virtually untouched.

Cool, good to see that the behavior of modes is consistant from one player to the next :) And yes, source mode 5 was the most dangerous for me as far as blow-ups are concerned, before I could afford to max my cp. I think my record was around 4670, though, luckily, nobody was right next to me, but there was somebody a few meters off by Thesos TP, willing to rez :D
