Where's the content? .... In front of you.

Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

What's good for some is bad for others. So what goes better for some is getting worse for others... and so on.

I don't believe things will go exclusively better; some things will be better while some others will be bad; like this QL50 mats thing has 2 effects, one that I like and one that I despise. As long as I enjoy the game, it's good enough for me; and I have many reasons to enjoy the game. I'm not depending on 1 or 2 things to be happy and changes to those won't make my stay in ryzom miserable...

personally I'd like to see more content in the form of roleplaying in the game. I bought Ryzom because of the level caps, because I hoped it would come down to more interaction rather than who can level the fastest.

I realise that you're always going to get characters called Haxor who talk about n00bs and who's entire roleplaying capacity amounts to 'lets go and kill kippees so I can level and make better armour' but its pretty dull - bored me out of DAOC and I hope that doesn't happen here.

What I'd like to see is more actual content - ie plots and subplots (like the Kami/Karavan) which are encouraged by staff NPC's. And more roleplaying encouraged by staff. As opposed to the typical MMOG which just seems to be a level grind, and thats what this looks like turning into. I don't personally need a bigger/better sword, higher lvl crafting etc to have fun - I'd like a story to get involved with. Quests like 'kill me 4 kippees and I'll pay you 2000' bore the pants off me. The events that are running are great - a race around pyr was a really nice idea. But it seems like they've built a really nice world and then can't be bothered to actually populate it with real people.

I realise this is just one person's opinion but it seems like there are loads of hack and slash, level grind games out there and there's really very little fundamentally different between them. At the moment this is just like a prettier version of DAOC to me but I hope it improves.

In terms of story based content there isn't much in the game at the moment but I am confident that will change. At the moment I can manage 2-3 hours playing a day, so far I've found enough to keep me going and I'm really enjoying it. I think Nervax have done a good job so far and hopefully they'll keep up the good work.
