I agree.

I also think if some good avenue of communication was there a lot of these disasters wouldn't happen. I'm definately not talking about the forums either.

Yes, unlike outposts I think R2 will be the ultimate make or break of Ryzom. The ability for players to shape and add to their world has only really been addressed before in smaller-scale games or social games (such as There or Second Life) this is a real departure, ambitious and interesting and from experience, if you involve people in something they grow more attached to it.

I don't think outposts are going to do it and I think Nevrax have made a bit of a mistake putting so much faith in PvP and outposts. R2 however will, eventually, if it has some major scope, really appeal to the modding communities and will allow Nevrax to 'cash in' on the creativity of the playerbase.

Also I don't think the number of people playing is in decline, indeed lately I seem to have seen a few more people around, a few more new players, it's a welcome sight, especially as they're coming in as things _should_ be turning around.
Considering I've given very specific examples of what I'd call content in another thread (one you happened to read) I'll take the first part as a joke. Also considering those things I mentioned I don't think R2 would be able to provide that. PvP/GvG/FvF type stuff would be more likely to renew my sub than anything else (Short of a complete overhaul of melee...yea right). But that's just me. I'm sure neither you nor I speak for everyone on this particular issue, but I guess time will tell what makes/breaks this game. And when I said game going into decline I was summising some other people's view on the game. Not really my own view.

And to the sweet Rushin...Give a brother a break. I have important RL things to take care of and can't put much time into games of any nature. My PS2 is unplugged from TV, no open subs for games etc...The only games I have are Chuzzle and Astro Pop, and I doubt they will see much playtime. Work with me here. On a final note...Come ooooooooooon.

I wish there was more content..i have been playng for 9 months. My interest is slipping. The devs keep tweeking stuff...not much interest there....at best for the near future they are turning this into a lets fight over the amber fields game. I am a crafter melee peep......they have made the swordsman an unneaded aspect of the game now. Might as well bcome a nuker..oh tried had no fun :( .....I have lots of frinds here..but starting to think of getting them to play online card games. Chess is fun.....couple good sci fi fantasy books coming out this fall......Well i will just wait and see....at least i do not need a subscription to read the forums.

I wish there was more content
*places a giant, bright pink inflatable elephant NPC outside of each capital, each dispensing a hundred new rites...if you can get past the endgame-level guardian ninja yubos surrounding the elephant*

*expands land area by 40% and plants weird(er) trees and mobs everywhere*

There, how's that for content!? :p

not very funny as i am waiting to see if they can actually salvage rites and introduce enough of them so it is hard to do them all. Oh and i dont think increasing land area is a good idea if other ppls friends lists are decreasing at the same rate as mine.

Guess im getting less and less able to take sarcasm here :P
