What's most frustrating is that changes like that are never documented, and first time you find out, it costs you in DP. For someone that does not have hours to play every day, DP is a big thing, if you are trying to level dig in PR.
I'd like to point out this is not true, trust me on this when you move to the lv250 pr zones you will be dying an awful lot more, and getting a lot more dp. Unless you plan to spend your time digging around the teleports there is little chance of people being able to reach you for a res. It only takes a few (10?) minutes to clear dp when digging. and yes PR digging is supposed to be hard, it's still easier than i would like.

I can't agree more - this is an RPG and the player should decide who to heal and who to ignore, not some statistic.
Maybe a solution would be for an addition to the stanzas (cost 0) which will allow you to heal anyone/mob, with all the dangers this implies.

When I first read this, I thought it was a BRILLIANT suggestion, and I still like the idea of a heal spell not constrained by arbitrary faction/guild/whatever constraints.. however, i started to wonder if it would be vulnerable to exploiting? Could you get healing XP healing your opponent while soloing ( and would this be a bad thing?)
can you kill and res opponents, including high level mob bosses, to res and kill again? possibly partially loot, then res and cut down again? or in PvP.. kill the opponents party - then res a single member at a time and kill them repeatedly..
the biggest danger is if there is some reward for killing other players, one early proposal -apparently discarded now, was for fame gains for killing enemies.
Maybe the game mechanics wont permit healing or rezzing mobs, which is probably for the best, but the Player conflict system still has a lot of scope for improvement, especially since many players dont even want it in the first place

The thing I fine most annoying about the whole PR issue is the fact that I can't heal out of team but I CAN accidently attack one of my own team members!

That just doesn't make sense to me. Either stop us being able to attack our own team or let us heal out of team! It just adds weight to the "this just hasn't been thought out properly" argument.

I totally agree. It makes no sense to me.
We really should be able to at least heal whoever we like. Once that's done, I wouldn't mind if I could accidentally attack my allies too. The whole point is the homin should be able to choose who their enemies and allies are at any given point in time. It's exactly as Baxter said

If the issue is taking advantage in PvP by porting in and out and healing safely (which I dont' even buy as an excuse) then just set it so you can only heal and attack after the timer is done. You won't be able to port in and rez someone, but at least we can rez people we come across while we're down there.
I guess I can understand that it doesn't make sense to be able to team while dead, but it makes even less sense that you have to team to heal. How is that explained?

That would work, make them both timer dependant, then let us heal/attack who we like.

Yeah I agree with not letting people join a team when they are dead but it's crazy that I cant heal anyone around me. The whole thing just doesn't make sense.
Yet again Nevrax only do half a job, and don't even get the half they did do right! There are just too many silly inconsistencies. Surely a spring clean should have addressed some of those?
More and more I think that Nevrax have some very weird priorities in place. They mess around with armour, they propose changing magic, they're bringing in new content (one day, trust me it will come!). Yet there are still a lot of annoying little bugs that they really should fix first before introducing more.
How about fixing ranged for a start. Has that EVER worked properly? Admittedly I don't do ranged but I am told it is bugged. One whole skill tree branch that doesn't work?! Come on people get your priorities right!
How difficult would it be to get my bag contents to sort properly when I first log in??!! Surely THAT needed spring cleaning??!!
