[New] Saga Of Ryzom Photo Contest

Hi everyone!

Following our popular photo contest in relation to the RL player gathering in Frankfurt, Germany last month, we've decided to organize another photo contest. This time, anyone owning a camera or digital camera will be able to participate.


The Contest
We're looking for the funniest, most original and most creative idea regarding Saga Of Ryzom. Simply take a picture of your idea and submit it to us via email. Not just the photo itself will be decisive here, but especially your idea and motive.

Your photos should have something to do with one of the following topics:

• The upcoming expansion "Ryzom Ring";

• PvP and Outposts

For better orientation, please find below some examples of possible motives for your photos:

• A shocking self-portrait, taken after a long and sleepless night of playing Ryzom;

• You (or a model) posing for the photo with a self-made Ryzom costume;

• A photo showing an in-game scenario, portrayed and reinterpreted by you and/or your friends in real-life;

• A painting, or a comic-style drawing;

• A self-designed item, for instance a case fan cover for your PC, showing the R² logo.

Let your creativity run free and don't hesitate to come up with own ideas - The sky's the limit!

The winners will be rewarded with exclusive, autographed artwork from the designers (more details on that soon), as well as merchandise in form of sought-after Saga Of Ryzom t-shirts, mousepads and caps.

The Details:
Start: Wednesday, July 20th, 2005
Deadline for submissions: Monday, the 1st of August, 2005

All submissions should include the following:
- Up to 3 photos in .jpg file format;
- Your name and account name;
- A brief description of your idea / photo(s);
- Your email address;
- The name of the server you play on;
- A short approval, allowing us to publish your photos in regards to the contest.

The 10 best photographs will be published here on the forums, where you will have the opportunity to choose your favourite photo through a poll.

Contest Deadline Extended

Seeing that we haven't received many submissions yet, probably because the original time frame for creating and submitting your photos was rather short, we've decided to extend the deadline by 2 weeks to August 15, 2005.

This should give you enough time to take a couple interesting photos in relation to Saga Of Ryzom and send them to us by email.

Sent a few in a few days ago, hehe, should be great fun to see what you all have come up with.

Just a quick update - The deadline has passed and we're currently in the process of going through the submissions. We'll be posting them soon.

There will however probably not be a public poll, since last time we've had problems with a few people being biased and voting for their friends and guildmates on purpose. To ensure a fair and square competition, we prefer having a neutral team of judges, which will probably be members of the staff and a few volunteers.
