The Ouroboros... A serpent circling around to devour her own tail: an ancient symbol of rebirth, rejuvenation, eternity--the cycles that define and make possible our existence.

Ouroboros Nocturna... A guild that understands these circular forces of renewal, and harnesses them for the greater good. Our guild symbol is a dark featureless circle - but we do not need to see the Ouroboros on the background of night, to know that she is there. Though there is no light in our sigil, light lives in our hearts, and is given life and meaning by the context of darkness.

Our guild is founded on democratic principles-- our leadership gives direction, not dictates. Important decisions are arrived at by discussion and consensus. We happily help each other achieve our individual goals and priorities, while banding together to achieve our collective goals. As part of our guild cycle of life, our crafters provide our members with extraordinary equipment. In turn, our hunters return all their useful hunted materials to the guild hall, where the crafters use them to further their skills.

We adapt to the conditions of the moment, while never losing sight of our long term goals. We are a guild with strategic vision, we accomplish many amazing things and have a great time along the way. We hunt and slay the most fearsome bosses and tribe commanders, we find and harvest the most prized materials on Atys, we travel where we wish. Meanwhile, we plan and prepare for even greater things in the future. Notably, when homins unearth the secrets of rebuilding the ruins, expect to see several outposts flying a Ouroboros Nocturna sigil over their lofty and well-defended ramparts.

Joining ON... Ouroboros Nocturna is always looking for exceptional homins. We do not seek vast numbers, as we understand the strength that comes from a tight-knit group of manageable size. We seek enthusiastic souls who are active on Atys, savvy and unselfish, friendly and fun, loyal and honorable. You should have a mind of your own and not hesitate to speak it-- but also be willing to listen to, learn from, and respect the collective decisions of your guild mates. You should employ good team instincts and tactics, or at least be eager to learn them. We are on good terms and have high fame with all races, and all races are welcome. While most of us are followers of the Kami ways, it is alright if you are neutral or undecided in the factional conflict. We are currently mostly comprised of higher level homins, but we have room for all skill levels. As long as you are enthusiastically willing to contribute to the guild‘s team effort, we will enthusiastically help you achieve your goals along the way-- and we have the skills and resources to do that in style.

Guild merge... We know how difficult it is to keep guilds going strong, given player turnover and other issues. Many guilds with proud histories find themselves with only a few lingering members, and a guild channel comprised mostly of silence. If you are in a guild with compatible philosophies that has fallen on difficult times, we are open to discussions of merging your guild into ON. We know it’s never an easy decision to let go of something you helped build - but perhaps the spirit of your guild can live on within the circle of the Ouroboros. We have the infrastructure, skills, activity, and friendly atmosphere to help you make your time on Atys fun again.

Although ON came from the Windermeer shard, and was thus originally very US-based in our membership, we have evolved to a global guild, with members spanning Asia, North America, and Europe. Therefore, we have some degree of activity going on nearly around the clock. We continue to welcome honorable homins who are looking for a friendly but ambitious guild, one that can both support you and give you new challenges00whether you're just getting started, or have several "master" titles to your name.

Lol i aint an ex-Windermeer or anything like that but i am 1 of them who happen 2 be from Asia lolz....so if any of u peeps have problems communicating in-game and need some help with either Bm,Chinese(cAntonese & some hokkian),India(southern dialects only lol...cant really get hindi yet) send me a tell/pm i'll try 2 help u as much as possible.

Lol actually Xipe,i do know some amount of japanese including the kaanji,but i was not actually confident tat i would be able 2 converse proper or fluent japanese with anyone lol....i can still get away pretty easily on watching many anime series though

ON has been dead for a loooong time. A certain someone caused them to fracture off into two seperate guilds (forget the other name... was in all caps I think...). Members left game (saranda, oberon, etc)... when that happened, the few remaining went and joined other guilds.
