The thing w/ peoples perspection on if an individuals actions will/should reflect on the guild as a whole, even if it is just the individual doing so, is that it always will reflect on the guild. A persons actions if they are in a group ALWAYS reflect on the group. This may not be intentional or not, but it does. If you see half a guild doing something behind the other halfs back, I can assure you at least half the people that know of these events (mostly people on the forums in this case) will think the other half represents the same 'morals' (morals being held very loosely here). If you see player x and player y wave to you in PR as you are digging that are in guild z it is easier for people to remember guild z then the too individual players (not saying the players wont be remembered however). Some people will ignore the group part of it and just judge the individual, but this is the minority here.


As far as karavan and a kami guild alliancing I dont really see the problem. What is the main threat in the lands according to the game story? I thought it was the kitin, maybe I am wrong and we are supposed to be worrying about the other faction side only but I dont believe I am. Now what is wrong with two oppositely alligned guild allying up to help each other out for when the kitin come? "But they are taking stuff away from their same factional alliance" Maybe because they think those supposedly on their side arent truely preparing for the fight in the sense they think they should. I also see it funny how OV is deamed a kami guild if they team with infinity yet infinity is kami regardless just kinda funny there.
But if you were to look in history, your allies are your enemies enemies most of the time. Well OV is the enemy of the kiten who is the enemy of infinity, so I don't see anyone straying from the story line here.

A guild member will always have reprecussion on their guild, weather by positive or negative action, in the same way belonging to a guild paints a guild member. I think its pretty universal that members who go against guild policies and practices soon find themselves no longer welcome in the guild. So if one allies or assists a guild, then those opposed to that guild could quite righty view you too as opposed to them.

On the other matter of faction alligence. All homins are oppsed to the kitin (arguable if the kami actually are) so there is no need for an alliance to kill them as they are a universal threat when they appear, in fact if you wish to use the kitin as a motive for an alliance you'd freely allow universal access to the mats ppl need to fight kitin, not profit and fight over them. Thus one can conclude it is an alliance of pure convenience and greed, as it is not in support of any faction, due to mixed faction alligence or race due to mixed racial alligence. I see very little 'RP' at work here.

nothing.... but those kitin really look like supreme supernode zuns It was fun and all, but don't forget the real and root reason of this, for some reason it happened after server reboot and in summer, and it has also something to do with recent threads and events

Why is greed not an acceptable RP motivation? It has been the motivation of humans and homins since the beginning of history. Another motivation at work here appears to be feuding with other homins. Nothing brings strange bedfellows together like a common foe!

For an example consider El Cid, the legendary hero of the Spanish reconquista. He was actually a professional mercenary who fought for both Christian and Moorish sides. He fought with and against Muslim and Christian forces, moving back and forth between sides as circumstances dictated. Muslim often fought alongside Christian allies and visa versa. Here was an epic violent confrontation between two different ideologies but people moved from one side to another for money.

Greed is a perfectly acceptable RP motivation in my mind. *BUT* don't expect your faction to trust your loyalty after that. Loyalty based on greed is never very trustworthy since the other side can just buy you out.

That's why a Karavan or Kami loyalist should find it unacceptable (IC) for 2 opposed guilds to ally themselves just for greed reasons.

Yeah to be honest i had a great time with the old pvp - basically fighting for the sheer fun of it - plus i think anyone should be allowed on the Zun not just the more powerful players in the game - Bijam you rock haha - i was rather hoping some foragers would manage to get themselves set up out of the way of all the pvp.

However the Omega+Infinity+Cara Via +Masters of Life allience has clouded their greed with such comments stating that large guilds need the best mats more then other people for their members. Now If this was truly the case then i'm sure they wouldnt be selling supreme equipment for very high profits. I'm sure there would be no supreme mules and I'm sure everyone can see through the rhetoric if they take a second and think about it. But just in case your distracted here's a hint: they do sell supreme gear for high profit..they must have a surplus of supreme gear avialble.
