Where do you want the range safari??

I have asked Devs to give us a range wep trader for Saturday & Sunday at the border fort. This means we can craft all the heavy ammo & put it with the trader on Saturday. I also asked if the trader could supply it free or maybe just for 1 dapper per wep/ammo. This would give everybody a chance to try out launcher (grenades with AoE effect) and autolaunchers (machine gun with a cone spray effect) that have not tried them before.

We can but live in hope.

If you can get this together before Sat. let me know and I will start crafting various weapons and at various lvls to put in the trader.

Somehow a very nice idea. Due to the high explosives on the packers we could not use mages as guards. The melees would have a lot of fun

But since this will happen on sunday, this is too short.

Been busy lately.

Ok, I am thinking of having two different teams. One low level and one for the higher levels. The first team will be anybody that has a range lower than 50.
For them the higher levels will be helping in reloading, healing, assist outside of team. The main purpose is to gain them some levels. There should be some heavy usage of launchers and autolaunchers here, so this should be involved... Also most of us should be able to participate here also, because we should have a low level ranged (i have 50 pistol and 119 2h ranged)
The second part after that will be for the higher levels depending on what kind of team configuration can be formed we would choose a spot. This part can later be transformed into range pvp if desired later.

Good idea. Kinda hard to get lvls by your self with ranged. Course, I am just now upgradeing from pistol to rifle, but still...

Now the biggest problems is transportation. I have a fair amount of mats but they are located in Dyron, so are my packers. We will have to figure out a solution to that.

I am also planning on an early test on saturday, if anybody is interested let me know. If you have better suggestion let me know too. Send me a ingame email AND a forum note

Have to strip to my skivies, too, but I'm up for a mule run. Not so high in anything, though, that a port ticket is nothing and dapper is considered worthless, though, so a bit of help on that point would be appreciated.

I presume this is Shunafyr that you want to be contacted ingame as. Might not get very far with askia2?

The ranged dealer at the post would be sweet! Haven't even seen the launcer and autolauncer for my own race, let alone for the other ones. Anyway, let me know when on Saturday, so I can schedule time to be a mule, 'kay?

One sad note: i have been busy lately and i forgot to remove some mats from the vendors, so i lost some of them.

One thing to note, the heavy ammos should not be pre-crafted. They will have to be crafted during the event and it is more realistic. So just bring over your mats.

Sorry to hear about the mats Shunafyr. The border fort is a good forage area for matis mats up to q150. I will have a packer of Fyros ammo mats on Saturday and have mats in GH & flat as well. I can dig them as we need them if we run out.

Sorry Micrix but I have to comment on your post. Ahem!! If its not safe to have mages around ammo, don't you think it might be a tad more dangerous to have guns around it??

Mimir 1 - it looks as if Sat is a go but not many weps will be required. We might need a few extra launchers/autos for demo purposes but that should be all. A few that have never tried range might be weaponless but it would be better to tailor them onsite when we know the lvls but your help will be greatly appreciated.

You dont have to be sorry This was just about a small seed for a story. Whole movies in the cinema are build around such. Anyone knows the very old black&white movie about those two trucks loaded with nitro glycerine ? A 90 min movie was build around this. There was drama, suspense and flashbacks into the players life. That showed why they act like they did. If i remember right it was a french production with Jean Gabin. To spoil it, only a few survived this trek


And no, this has nothing to do with Atys and the Safari
