Experienced Roleplayer Seeking Fellow Kinsmen

Greetings and Salutations,

I am a newcomer to the world of Atys, still learning the ways and discovering the land. As a young Matis, I am a follower of the Goddess Jena, and obide by the absolute laws of the Karavan. I seek a place of belonging among others who share the same beliefs, both in spirituality and in action of the world.

While I do not have much to offer material-wise, I can be of assistance in knowledge and hopefully come to be considered a person of counsel. My spirit has traveled through many worlds, learning the ways of the beasts and intelligent creatures which inhabited them. I know of wars and conflicts across the stars, and I can see the turmoil upon this land as well.

I highly suggest you speak with Sxarlet, or someone else from the Evolution guild. They are a fine bunch and I think would suit your needs.

Or you might consider switching faction and join the Kami cause, and enlist with the Samara family. They are a very fine rascally bunch.

That is still quite a possibility. I suppose it all comes down to either the group whom calls themself Evolution, or the ragtag group of citizens called the Samsara. I will have to think this over I suppose, and fully decide my heart's desire and what I wish to gain from this beautiful land.

There are many guilds to choose from, perhaps these two shout the loudest. Guilds can be very different and hold different attitudes. Evolution is known as Atys' greatest poets and storytellers, but for the fiercest partisans of Jena, you might look to the Melinoe or others. There are many things one should consider when choosing a guild. The Samsara are known for holding great firewine festivals and illegal knifefights, but if they are all sleeping off hangovers when you are awake, you should choose another guild. The Tryker guilds are mainly Karavan oriented, but most cast a skeptical eye toward the extreme militants of Jena. If you are not an extremist, Aedan's Artisans, the Illuminati, Veni Vidi Vici or the Ballistic Mystix in the Lakelands might fulfill your needs.

The single most important thing you can do before joining a guild is deciding how you want to play "that" particular avatar in Atys. If you have different moods and playstyles you could be in different guilds with different characters to a point... The one that required skills might suffer from this, but to RP you could remain lower level and have your guildmates escort you to the places you need to go.

Regardless of your playing style though, there are many good guilds and folks... Join a guild that closest matches your playing style, that is so important as it will enhance your game as well as those you play with... Do not join a guild that seeks fame thru epic battles, PvP, RP or social clubs when you may not want that... it'll only cause problems later when friends you have made disagree with your stance which may be against the guilds long standing "role".

There is room for all here, but each guild has their own goals and the folks in the guilds should all be of the same making or it makes for mixed messages...
