So if they do a big nerf, then what result do you get.
Already if you get everything to level 250 there is still lots of areas you cant travel through alone. Elemental magic made some of it possible, since you could kill a few enemies(outside of PR) before they would reach you. Add affliction and maybe in PR also.
As they nerf magic now it makes me ask myself, why am I grinding, when I can never really become powerful.
Yeah you are right sxarlet, I do enjoy the other things in the game. The problem is that all my friends who do things besides grind leave, because balancing of mechanics flips a world on its head and only benefits the competitive grinders. People that just want to have fun usually want some consistency and believability to the world. But then I don't usually just grind, thats why I don't have anything maxed out but been here forever.
Oh to clarify, regardless of whether you like grinding, or playing for fun, if there was no leveling whatsoever then none of you would be here (for the most part)
I initially started leveling so I could explore more.

Exploring PR solo, the only way is sneak and see the openings to pass, the most annoying of all is Jugs with that "bug" thing you can't even run. I just want Outpost to come out at least on ATS more than 2 months have pass and still nothing very sad indeed .

Re: Nerfing Players and Grinding
To be honest, I am basically unable to kill an aggro in PR, neither combining afflictions and elemental nor nuking only, and being in focus gear or hp gear does not make a huge difference to me. Only in very rare occasions I manage to kill a mob and mainly because:amitst wrote:Add affliction and maybe in PR also.
* it was hurt
* it was like 100 levels lower than me (provided not a kincher)
* it was chewing something else than me and I started nuking it (thanks lovely lumper)
* it was a mob like a jugula or kipesta and I managed to kill it, typically using melee protection aura, an enchant, 5 prayers to jena, self heal, and left with like 40 HP.
Im my opinion, mobs in Prime roots have an insane amount of HP (giving the same xp as the outside counterparts) and it is a pity that these regions are little (I think) used other than digging and boss hunting.
In summary, and specially in Wastelands or Undersprings, for me at least, scouting in prime roots is more 'dodge mobs or if aggroed you have little chance of sucess, specially if you have already used MPA and speed"

Re: Nerfing Players and Grinding
Same thing. Been here since first Beta, with some breaks in between, and my highest skill is healing, and that is just thanks to my guild, and it's only lvl 101. As far as the 'if there was not leveling then you wouldn't be here' statement, I once played a pen-and-paper RPG for 3 years, and didn't get a single exp off of it. Did it simply because I liked the game, liked the people I was gameing with, and am here because of same.amitst wrote:But then I don't usually just grind, thats why I don't have anything maxed out but been here forever.

Have you ever soloed Lagoons of Loria in winter? First time i did that (and made it after a couple of times) I was happy for days.
One of the things i do when i get a bit bored is to try to organize some players events. It can be as big or as small as you want it to be. It doesnt gain you levels, but it makes you meet new people and it gives you (and the people who help) a lot of fun to do, and some fame afterwards. An example is the at the Thesos pub tomorrow, for the Samsara pub night.

A Little more than 2 months that they put them on ATS and shut down ATS for them selfs to test them, that took 2 weeks, then they took them out from ATS and since then nothing not even good news.morzyr wrote:Sry but 4 months have passed :/

Production : ATS locked for tests (Outposts) by Xavier Antoviaque
Today, we will lock the access to the Advanced Test Server for two weeks : we will use the ATS server to run real-scale internal tests on the outposts. We are not yet including ATS volonteers to the outpost test program, since this is still an early and unstable alpha version of chapter III - we still have some work to perform before we can efficiently use your reports.
Also, once the two weeks are over, we will deactivate the outposts before reopening the ATS - to let us have the time to code the fixes once the series of tests are completed. However, we are starting to review the ATS applications : when we will enter the next phase of our test program, we will need a lot of ATS testers ! )))))))

In late september/early october I snuck from lakelands to fyros lands at level 70 or so. It was necessary cause the highest equipment in lakelands was q50 because all the border lands were guarded by large packs of torbaks and noone could forage anywhere except loria.
I smuggled weapons for a few weeks, guilds were paying several hundred thousand for q100 items.
Of who I started with on tryker island only aelvana remains and she was gone for like 7 months, and thats a big deal cause there were like 100+ people when I was there.
