Oh, one other thing I meant to say in my reply to Asyne was that I didn't really think my measures were all that extreme. If they are solely MY actions then they are unlikely in practice, to have the slightest effect on the day to day activities of Infinity. They are simply an expression of the level of my disgust.

Leapfrogging now to turjakes reply, that brings up something I wish I had said initially but didn't think about. If I die at the hands of players in PvP zones then it will be in the way he describes and I think that means we would die with dignity.

Nice one Gaspode, way to go.

I think it would be more honest of Infinity just to say "piss off, we do what we like" rather than trying to convince us of their benevolent nature. I can just imagine them standing over me saying "I know I killed you, but it was for your own good". Oohh my!!!

And Infinity - I don't know if your mothers come to check that you are good boys/girls online or what, just be big enough to own up to being the bullies that you so clearly are. I won't think any less of you for it.

I support Gaspode 100% in this, and will also 'shun' Infinity.

I would also urge members of Infinity who do not share the guild's philosophy, that the strong have no moral obligations, to seek other guilds.

I've quit playing this game more than 2-3 months ago. My sub is still active, and I like to check the forums once in a while. Judging after reading the posts/threads, I'm glad I quit playing and I feel no desire to come back.
The lack of morality and power enforcement of arbitrar rules are not the things I like to find in a game. There is plenty of this **** in real life.

Here is an example. I'm a pretty big guy. How would you like infinity members if I'd forbid you to buy your favourite cigars from the only store in town? You can't beat the **** out of me, you are too weak, and IF you ask for police help, I'll be free in 48 hours. And when I'll come back, I'll beat the **** out of YOU. Do you like this scenario? I suppose not.

Well, take a wild guess and try to think how other players feel about your actions, and try to think if you are ruining the fun for them or not.
And if you respond: "I don't care about others, I do what I like because I can", then you are no better than a leet kid. Period.

Gaspode, you are wrong. They do not lack morality but judgement.
Is that simple... When you are unable judge your own actions you can't feel the morality. Or the lack of it.
That which does not kill me makes me stronger.

Something else which I didn't think about but which is now becoming apparant is that, quite reasonably, lots of people will have their own take on this issue and will choose to express themselves in many different ways.

If Infinify decide to make an official guild response to this (and it's entirely up to them whether they do or not) then I think it should properly come from their leader. If they choose to reply within this thread then I would appreciate it if they first isolated their response to the points I have made as instigator of this thread.

They can then respond separately to other peoples views and/or the way they choose to express them.

Please understand I'm not saying anyone who has replied so far is incorrect in any way. I'd just like to be clear how Infinity feel about the points I have made before they respond to others as I don't want the central issue here to become any more clouded than is ultimately bound to happen.

Nope we use a little known thing on this server called "Team work" If more guilds / people out there tryed this then I'm sure there would be no need for this "Declaration Of Intent" as the other groups working together could also get them.

Basicart, I've done my best to be crystal clear in what I am saying and why I am saying it.

To reiterate, I'm not angry with anyone, just very sad at the stated guild policy of Infinity.

As a statement of morality however, the point I make has to apply to everyone.

You'll have to forgive me but I'm not greatly 'into' Guilds. Are you the leader of OmegaV or at least able to speak on behalf of that guild? If so, then please state your guild policy explicitly for everyone to see, so there is no arguement later over EXACTLY what you meant. "We also fight over supreme sources" could be interpreted in different ways. If your policy is identical to that of Infinity then I can only say, 'Yes I will treat you in the same way'. If it differs in any way then my response may be different.
