Fancy a range safari day on Atys????

I was chatting to Shunafyr (range fighter) and the subject of having a range outing just quietly crept up.

Any of you range fighters fancy a Sunday or two joining up & teaching these mobs some respect? I am only lvl 51 & Shun is lvl 120ish but we would welcome all that can to meet & have a range riders festival. I can also craft most ammo (Fyros & Matis only) up to q 130 so its a case of bringing your gun, bring the mats and all systems go. Also bring your pick & shovel if you are a grenade or auto launcher as you will need lots of crafting. Maybe a packer as well.

Venue is open to discussion but KoD or flaming forest are possibilities.

To make this available to all I thought that Sunday would be a good day as the Euros could be available from 19:00 or 20:00 and our worldwide colleagues could have an earlier start. Unfortunately our Oz colleagues will be getting ready for Monday at work (Ohhh!!) but we could arrange another date to try to include them later. Potential Ned Kelly's will be given serious consideration.

Give me an indication if you would like to join in the fun or tell Shun or I ingame. Look forward to your response to this idea.

Sounds cool. only lvl 47 myself, but seeing as how I put up 50% or more of the ammo in Zorai lands, last I checked, I'm up for it. only craft lvl 50 though. If people need mats, I can show them the best spots for them, lvl 150 and 200 lands. Now if only I could find a forrest or roots place for choice or better Becker bark, I'd be set (alrealy have the oil, and the sap doesn't affect anything but the weight, realy)

I'm having problems finding beckers in Matis but there is an exc Kachin wood place (up to q100) in fleeting, near the Kami, glowing altar thingy. If you tell me ingame we can swap some info. I haven't found koorin oil above q100 either so my bullets are a little underpowered in Matis. Fyros is fine for most mats for ammo.

The only good wood for ammo is Beckers and Mitexi. Usualy get a 92% dam from either one of them. There is a good source for Beckers by the kami tp in Dyron. Have a good koorin oil area, but it is jungle. Have to ask guildies if they know of a good place in the roots.

I get near max in Fyros with becker & koorin but I also need a source in Matis.
Find it difficult to get them over q100.

Gulatch oil is also good.

Gulatch oil is better even, it makes for lighter ammo than Koorin.

Edit: Oh, and both Gulatch oil and Mitexi bark (and Beckers too in winter) can be easily harvested up to q200 from the popular harvesting spot in Upper Bog, near the Ecowarriors camp.

Hello All,

Sorry i have been away this weekend so i could not provide any feedbacks.
Indeed i am very interested in having more ranged support in Atys and organizing events like this can make it more interesting. The french organized a ranged event about a month ago and apparently it was a huge success and they will be repeating it often.


**The rules were:

- Team of 2 to 4 players with a loader in LA same color and same race.
- The armors and jewelry can only be boosted with stamina.
- No self-heal allowed.
- All other auras are allowed (ranged, speed, stamina, invul)
- All magic are disallowed except Create Sap Crystal
- Only one enchantement is allowed : Stamina Gift
- You can have any type of boost in your guns, your choice...
- No shooting on referee, reporters or other spectators.
- The loaders must follow the same rules as the rangers.
- Using Tps are disallowed excpet if it is for Rezzing friends.
- If you died and didnt have a tp back to the region, the referee can heal you and escort you back.

This an idea for a future event to consider. PLease feel free to provide feedbacks.
Given that many are low levels rangers, we can organize squads of rangers for fast leveling using autolaunchers and launchers. If anyone is interested, please contact Shunafyr or Alyssah in game. I am usually on from 7pm to 10pm Eastern Time during week (USA, sorry Europeans) and flexible on weekends.

In order to support the events we do need a lot of ammos.
If anybody wants to volunteer in digging up the mats please let me us now. Depending on the number of participants the requirement might change.
For now i would shoot for:
10000 resin
7500 becker or mitexi bark
7500 gulatch or khorin oil
High ql is prefered.

i find that http://ryzom.raum.com is really good for finding mats.
