Hello everyone,

I downloaded the game the other day and signed up for the free trial, having grown tired with the lack of maturity and sense of community I found in other MMOs. My first MMO ever was Ultima Online which a good friend of mine got me to play, and I've missed that.

I'll be playing a lot for these two weeks to get to the mainland and hopefully meet some of you, since the starting island is rather deserted.

I've gone from hunting yugos to capyrnis, and even killed one nasty carnivorous dog that I got too close to accidentally. A few of my skills are getting close to 20 now I think. When should I head off to the other villages and do the rites the supplier wants me to do?

Welcome to the game

I would say the time to head between the towns on starter isaldns is whenever you can make it Most new players try to walk in a straight line, and only really manage it once they are able to kill most things in their way. This is a very silly thing to do really, and once you get onto the mainland you will have to learn the art of "sneaking", or spending a much longer time on the journey, but never having to fight something

Well, if you haven't been to the other villages on the starter island, try it out. It can be fun and a valuable learning experience to learn how to travel, ideally avoiding aggro.

If what you mean is the mainland, the general consensus is to go when you feel you have a good understanding of the game mechanics. It sounds like you do.

There is no reason a lvl 1 can't go to the mainland, there are still low things to level on. The starter island just makes it easier to learn about the game because it is easier to wander around.

But as soon as you get bored on starter island move to the mainland. There are tons more people and this game is the most fun when palying with others. You should be able to find people whatever race you are, type /who in the chat window to see who's around or just say hello in region chat and ask for someone around your level to team with.

You'll find the maturity and sense of community in this game is excellent
