Come in, pull up a chair, let's discuss all things Ryzom-related.

#74 Not all of us agree with every idea here. As in Aesop's fables pleasing all will end up pleasing none. Please stick to your original great vision for Ryzom.

#75 more ideas in other threads (i.e. what guilds want) that should be compiled into the list.

Wouldn't giving coordinates of where we extracted specific materials dumb the game down too much though? As with the /loc command, I think this would make it way too easy for people to create MatBots. Using programs like xylobot, and others, it's already easy enough for people to craft bots for games. Why make it easier?

An increase to the maximum number of landmark flags would be great though.

Or just make it so that when the user clicks the linked text it brings up the information box for that item.

I believe this list was started to see what features we want included in the game. Would it be that difficult to copy and paste the features that you would like to see in game as a guild?

No one is asking everyone to agree with the ideas here. Please keep it constructive :P

Been awhile since I posted! I have a huge hugehugehuge request from the healers!

PLEASE Make team members selectable by HOTKEY!!! Anything! maybe alt+1-0? It's SO HARD to click on a member int he team wondow and quickly cast your spell! You ahve to move hand to mouse, back to keyboard, back to mouse. Or mouse to team, mouse to hotkey, mouse to team.

Thanks!

Left hand keys, right hand mouse...works for me. YMMV

Great list! Its huge, almost overwhelming even. I'd like to have a method for moving/sending icons in my hand bar to another bar. By default new skills show up on hand 1 and I have to either recreate them or pull them from the action window to the desired hand. I think this would be helpful.

I saw a lot of great suggestions, keep up the good work. Having to sort out the ones that will work, won't change the balance of the game, or cause the developers to jump off roof tops is indeed a challenge.

Didn't see these, but may have missed them:

+ Larger guild storage. Seems the pack animals have more storage than a building does.

+ Compartmentalized guild storage with selectable take rights. Weapons/Armor/Mats for anyone/Mats being saved, that sort of thing. Even further it by guild members names.

+ A delivery system. Its tough to give someone an item when you aren't online at the same time. I wouldn't mind paying a small fee to give an item to an NPC so that my buddy can go to him to retrieve it.

+ Some kind of distinguishable icon near a team member's name. People look too much alike and teamming with peeps you haven't met before, its not readily apparent who's with you and who may be in the other group.

+ A way to know who's in your guild without having to bring up the guild info menu. I thought in beta the guild name was displayed next to the name, but I'm not seeing it anymore (I think I have all the settings correct).

One of the features mentioned was knowing your characters location.

I totally disagree with this as it is the first step to breaking the communication code between the server and the hacker's computer with Ryzom client.

Note: I'm totally not accusing the person who mentioned this of intending it for this use, I'm just saying it (the user coords) will eventually be used for this purpose.

All they have to do with the character's location, is insert the coords into a trainer, (or use SoftIce) and then whammo lots of wonderful things start to happen. If they know where the character is, then they can gradually start to piece together information related to that character, including mobs surrounding that character, spells cast towards that character, the number of enemy characters hit points etc.

A good example of this type of problem is in AC Darktide, where there is a program that people use that if you have a war spell cast at you, the computer automatically moves you in a bunch of little directions at once, so that you do not disrupt the computer (your computer and the server pretty much totally agree on location), but you move in such a way that the war magic spell can not hit you.

Any information released with regards to the communication code between server and user should be held in strictest confidentiality please.

I don't understand why a person really needs coords if they've got a map anyways. Other than to make it easier to find people of course, but whatever.

Say NO to location info. pls.

Zeke.
