Just a little bit of thought explains the process. This is basically a means of validating your identity and your ability to pay for what is an ongoing subscription service.

As already mentioned (several times) the cash charged is refunded immediately in full. Reasons for this charge/refund:

1) Providing address details is NOT a way of proving who you are, they can be falsified
2) most (yes not all, I have experience) credit card/charge card companies do a good job of validation - if your billing address isn't stated correctly, they will fail the charge
3) It isn't possible to issue a credit card transaction for 0.00, just to use it as authentication - a charge of 1.00 (whichever currency) must be applied
4) The charge can then be easily refunded, once your identity is confirmed

This I thought would be simply to ensure that the Free trial offer wouldn't be misused. As in one person playing with multiple accounts or something similar. And if I decided to continue playing, everything would be ready. I thought my account would be frozen when the 14 days was over. Truly, Honestly that is what I thought. But as I've been pointed out, I was grossly wrong.

And someone asked about the emails I got. I've been away and haven't had the chance to check them until today. Again, my own fault.

Don't worry Elina, and you don't need to justify your actions/reactions :) You fell into the 'sales trap' that was set for you, and nothing more. We all do that from time to time. Not reading small print is human nature, and that is played upon by most sales people today, regardless of how innocent their intentions are...

I have heard that Nevrax might give money back if you do free trial and forget to unsubscribe for some reason http://www.mmorpg.com/discussion.cfm?lo ... read=44620

They seem to be very respectable company in this sense even if they would not have to.

I read it alright, but it won't let me access account management to cancel it.
that's one way to get subscriptions, but are they gonna pay my bank charges?

i can't even connect to the game to play it anyway. not good.
