Klients - why isn't it on a different server?

Ok. Back in the day, all throughout beta and most of retail, Klients was the first stop as soon as the game crashed. Lately, let's be honest, the servers have had much less crashes. However, it's no less frustrating, because there is no way to get any information from nevrax.

Since they have moved Klients on to the same server as the game shard, it is always down when the game is down. This would be ok if as soon as the game went down someone posted on the forums to let us know what's going on, but to my knowledge that has never happened. Last night the server was down, I believe, for around two hours. It seemed that I was one of the few people who actually waited (with no word from nevrax) to get back in to the game, the result being that there was hardly anyone there when we got back in.

It seems to me that it was hardly be a Herculean effort to put a simple program like Klients onto a seperate server. So why is this not done? Is it simply to give the dev's some quiet while they try to work out what's wrong, despite the fact that the community is left entirely in the dark while these issues are resolved?

Wondering if anyone else shares my frustration with this lack of information-sharing...

I definitely share this frustration. How does it serve the "client" if Klients is down when we as a group need information the most?

Hey, stick to important stuff like what titles you want... THAT gets multiple responses from Xavier....

Klients is not down, but it is really slow.

Well, trying to log in to Klients then.. if it's just being slow, then it's being really, really laggy. I guess then the question of this thread should be changed to "Why isn't it on a better server?"

i must agree, when the server drops you cant get into Klients & even if you do, the Lag is crazy. ummmm how do i send a ticket in for this

However, "authentication is probably served by the same server though" or "it could be a common router that they share and when the game server hangs it may spam that"

It will connect eventually ... took 10 mins for me. Just be patient

Ok, that's a long lag. I am actually in....but maybe this should be looked into?!
