I dont think iv said i speak for all my guild but anyway...
If they are agenst getting killed or ganked in a PvP zone they are in the wrong PvP active guild im afrade :( . This is why i and others would and do back up our guildies and friends insted of complaning about it. We know the risks of entering these zones. We have lived with it and evolved with it.

I dislike ganking and griefing as much as the next person, believe that. However, if it's a PvP zone you should be on your guard. Regardless of who is down there. It's the nature of the type of area it is. Just like if you're running through an area with aggro...you're on your guard. Doesn't matter if you want to fight and are just traveling through/digging/sightseeing, you may have to fight. I can't for the life of me get why you feel it is such a horrible thing to have to watch your back in an area where it is clearly stated that you can be attacked. If you get attacked fight back. If you win, you just taught the person not to mess with you. If you lose come back with friends, drive the offenders out. There is no policing system in this game so you have to handle these types of issues in your own manner. How you go about that is your choice. You still have to realize it's a part of the game and and like it or not you have to deal with it.

Now to the people doing the killing, a question...Why go down there and kill? If you are bored, I assume you are looking for some sort of challenge other than killing monsters repeatedly. A simple announcement of your presence in the zone (not necessarily when you're about to attack) may bring you the challenge you await. Maybe in the form of 5-6 people after your head, but hey...you started it.

12 pages and maybe one of the first sensible posts I've read. No offense to all the other posters of course ;) . But this one has the merit to state things in a very clear way without getting personal or starting to attack another poster. Yes, as a harvester, there's nothing more annoying than getting PKed. And I'm sure that if you're trying to run a guildy up (or down) Umbra, you really have more to worry about than wondering if the blue dot coming towards you is someone friendly or someone that will kill you and force you to start over again. But the idea of just announcing your presence and telling people your intentions might be a good one... then again... if you're announcing it people will watch out and be on their guards.

It was a report!

I do not think it is a problem that I was attacked down there!

I did not whine about it!

Please do not whine about ppl reporting in game happenings!

I have to accept that it is a PvP area and you can attack me there.
You have to accept that you have to take the responsibility for your actions.

Personally, i think Kye and Fasinus should be ashamed of themselves

Nevrax are working very hard to create an atmosphere of increased racial distrust and hostility, and here we have a Zorai and a Matisian working together in a spirit of co-operation and harmony. Totally counter to the direction we are being herded. Where will it all end I ask you ?

Shame, Shame, Shame

Kashius, who seems to be a neutral here, I agree with most of what he said, but have to extend this bit.

This is precisely what happened between Lock and Audrey, it seems. It got ugly. But I guess that's just destined to happen, can't be helped.

Yep, you're absolutely right. Blondy choice was to report on being attacked, and AP choice was to declare war on Infinity, and ON choice was to join AP because we were ally and a few of our members have also been attacked randomly.

It is our choice, we are not bringing the cops.

yup. i agree with kye ... shame shame shame... ?you are ashamed maybe when u do something illegal .. if pvp areas exists .. i guess it s to use them. btw , peeps play this game for different reasons .some find that diggin is a challenge , some like to fight in pvp areas. in y opinion we dun really have to blame them , especially if we consider you dont get dps in pvp zones .
After all depends on the contents of the chat .. but as far as i ve heard nothing special about that ..
So are we playing a game or not ? pvp are not forbidden .. so what s wrong after all ?

themac --->will be back soon :p
i am not not trying to protect a friend , just ginvin my opinion concerning pvp areas.

I've been playing WoW lately, this sounds a lot like their forums and chat. I guess PvP zones just do this to people.

And so I eat my words..... :p
But for the record, this thread didn't start out as whines and flames.

The following is not directed at anyone in particular:

Can't the PvPers just keep their attacks to other PvPers? (I think this thread has done a lot for identifying who is who)

I mean, if you want some PR PvP because you're bored, I don't understand how attacking someone who doesn't fight back is entertaining. Might as well kill yubos, takes about as much effort and skill.

And simply stating in region that you're hunting homins is a perfectly good start. Those who aren't interested in a fight can move on. As Basic claims, it's fun on both the winning and losing side, so at least give your prey a chance and everyone will have more fun.

The to PvP or not to PvP argument will rage forever. It is eternal. The best advice I can give is raise it above random killing.

And if you're against PvP completely, watch the "who" list for known PvPers. I know you shouldn't have to, but they will always exist, so it may be best to just move to another region when they're around. There's not so many of them that's it's happening constantly.
