Quality??

Quality also determines how much boost (hp,sap,stamina,focus) item can give. Maximum is quality / 2. So q10 sword can give wielder +5hp bonus. These bonuses are set when item is crafted. You should check item info window for these boosts as there are lots of items sold without boosts or different boosts that you would like to have.

Increased quality has one negative side effect on weapons, special attacks with higher quality weapons require higher level version of special attack stanza for full benefit. Higher versions also cost more hp and stamina credits.

For example, you have increased damage action that is best for weapons upto q90 but you have weapon of q100. Your increased damage action will add only 90% more damage instead of 100% that you would get with q90 weapon. You can use next version of increased damage attack to get 100% damage increase but credit cost for that action increases from 75 to 100.

Most notable effect is that you can use high quality weapon but you can't get yet high enough accurate attack and you will see that you do not hit as well as you used to with your old weapon.

I am not sure but there might be other penalties too when using too high q weapon for your skill lvl.
