So the kami don't mind harvesters, just overexploitation, according to the lore. And they deal with that pretty swiftly by just.... killing you immediately.
Also... the kami must not have too much of a problem with the karavan, after all they allow crazy matis folk to wield magic.
So kami = cute, mysterious, gives us magic
and karavan = shrouded, mysterious, gives us nothing
I don't see why there is even much of a debate.
Kami vs. Karavan

Re: Kami vs. Karavan
Kamis have no say if they allow any civilization to wield magic. From the looks of it, they taught the homins and now have no say who wields what.
On the other hand, "the Karavan taught homins the technology and science that enabled the construction of their civilizations". So shush.

Re: Kami vs. Karavan
Kami allowing to use their planet resources even for heretics, karavan just bringed us to there.
Karavan - Invaders which trying to take hold of a planet.
Heretics, at least show your respect for True Masters of planet on which we live, and which resources we use.
Kami kill homins, which become greedy, and before kill, Kami warn Homins.Kami kill Homins

Less power for mages!
Open your eyes, listen to your heart:
Technoevil or magic spirit of nature - here is only one choice.
Re: Kami vs. Karavan
Hardly "masters". It is our Goddess Jena, The Life Giver of Atys, who brought about the Green Rising and "sent in her disciples, the Karavan Guardians, to establish the homins in different parts of the planet so that each race would have a role in its conservation". Kamis are not the only ones who care to preserve the planet, so are the Karavan. The only difference Kamis kill homins for overexploitation while Karavan don't. In the end, Karavan value homin life over plant life. We as homins are old and mature enough to regulate ourselves and do not need these Kamis to kill us. How many times I have come to a region to forage and notice that it has been depleted and over-exploited? In many cases, those responsible are not killed and the ones killed are homins who play roulette with the Kami by digging (but at least being more careful by CPing alot and using gentle extractions) to get their needed resources.
Re: Kami vs. Karavan
I was gardening stingas in the Fount one day when an impetuous teammate of mine decided to take a swing at the large smuggler party passing us by. I immediately ran for the Karavan guards. Wow! I never saw the Karavan shoot so much before. They were firing at Smugglers for nearly a full minute. They shot a bunch of homins that day! I've decided that I want one of those nifty Karavan wrist-band light-guns ... very nice weapons indeed.basicart wrote:Point me out one Karavan that kills homins in game![]()

Let's qualify:
Show us a Karavan that kills Homin PCs in the game

The Kami taught magic originally, but they obviously do not controll it, nor are they responsible for teaching it to those of us who reject the decievers. The fact that we now wield it in opposition to kami lies can not be taken as a sign of thier benevolence.
The Kami Kill homin who are trying to gather materials neccisary to rebuild a ravaged civilization.
The Karavan have introduced technology and have helped us rebuild our cities. When looking at teh designes of Zoria buildings, is there any doubt at all that they were bassed heavily on Karavan influences?
