To my understanding Calabrien is a volunteer guide. I don't have any problems that guides get some occasional regocnition like this, sounds quite normal to me as they do not get monetary reward for their hard work. It would be different matter if CSR would start sending private messages for select players on motd.

Also repeating broadcasts, about event, each 30-60 sec 4 - 10 times in row, is a little annoying for players not interesed in current event.

Well, i won't discuss what is part of RAID engine, i just wrote, what GM told for "us", when "we" asked to broadcast message.
So, commenting only this post, would you agree, that this misunderstanding (?) MOTD vs Broadcasting is not because i assumed wrong, but due to "not competent answer" from CSR? [I don't want to mention (nick)names, even if i remember them well]

Also, can we have checkbox in Game Configuration "Broadcasts"?
Many players is not interested in one or another type events, and repeating same over and over - making ppl angry (dont you saw moaning in Region/Klient with requests [ehm.. suggestions] "Pls, stop this") ?

I'm kinda liking the msgs flashing up, but I'm coming from WoW and the only thing I tend to hear there when I roleplay is "omgz can you give me monie plz lolz".

If I did understand it correctly, the problem is that players can't control the chat stuff, good enough. This can be fixed pretty easyly, by changing how chat systems works in the Game.

1. First create one window with one "general" tab, where all chat goes.

2. Make so that every different kind of chat type can be turned on/off and can have it's own text color. (except system emergy call texts, what goes in all tabs)
- Local
- Zone
- Team
- Guild
- System
- Combat
- NPC-talk
(what ever is needed in game)

3. Allow players create new/edit/delete tabs and change they names. Like someone creates "guild" tab.

4. Allow player select what kind of chat talk is going in what tabs. Basicly list of different kind of chat talk options, with ability select and unselect them. (Look 2.)

5. Allow players define/change they own chat type colors in game options. This way they can see easyly what kind of talk someting is, if it's in same "tab" window.

6. Create small icon buttons in bottom of the chat window with letter. These letters change what kind of talk player is doing in the chat window. Example, Guild=G, Team=T, Zone=Z, Local=L. When player push one of these letters the target of chat text also change. It can also change the prompt in the chat window, so player know what's the active talk "area".

Problem with current chat windows is that, players can't select what he/she see. Also ability see different chat in same window is missing.

its ingame (more or less). it's called "User" chat tab.
right click on "User" chat tab (or was it chat window title or somewhere near it, cant remember) and you can turn on/off different "channels".

Seasons don't work
(at least not in dyron)
(they only "work" once: when server restarts)

Some people just love to whinge, about anything.

Seems a bit small minded to me.

These messages are useful to inform people events and so on are happening.
