Yeah, but that won't help if you go back to a mission you started yesterdayvinnyq wrote:actually, I thought NPC chat message are still logged to the chat window. Try checking the around chat.

And it really does seem that only some of the NPC dialog is thrown into the chat window(s).
Speaking of which, is there a way to increase the font size of the chat bubbles? I know how to do this for the chat windows, but not the bubbles.

As far as I know (I haven't actually needed to try this but I'll check when I get home and confirm it) you can just go in to first person mode. The closer you are, the larger the text an' all.

That seems so... obvious hehe. I didn't think to try it before, but I'll give that a shot next time I find myself squinting

Re: Initial Tutorial... very confusing
there was a tutorial? wow i missed that one. hehe. i remember being dumped on the n00b island without a clue what to do. hehe. it took me 3 weeks to realise that actions could be modified and another week to learn about macros and stuff. if there was a tutoriall and i missed it then i think the devs should make it more obvious. i do remember having to wander around and talk to a few npc's but i don't remember any of them giving me specific tasks other than ' now go and talk to blah blah blah'
since i started on the trial version i didn't even have a manual so the learning curve was rather steep. however don't get dissheartened out there. i found that out of all the mmorpgs that i have played this game has the freindliest most helpfull comunities of the lot. there are always ppl around to ask questions and if they don't know the answers they will know ppl who do. i have had many a kind person sit me down and run through some of the complex aspects of the game so whatever your problem or question there will be ppl to answe

Re: Initial Tutorial... very confusing
LOL only barely! It was probably the weakest tutorial in a game I've ever seen, but at this point I suppose it doesn't much matter (at least for myself.)kayak wrote:there was a tutorial? wow i missed that one. hehe.
I just gave up entirely on the tutorial. I leveled myself up a bit and headed to the mainland where I was immediately greeted by other players and in no time found myself in a hunting group WAY above my level out hunting things that wouldn't even bother snacking on me I was so much weaker than they were Even with all that, I was able to participate through my meager healing and it was a lot of fun!
Since then I've joined the guild of those in that first big hunting group and have trekked all across Atys to the 4 racial lands. I feel like I almost have the rudiments of the game down and my questions, though still frequent, are at least backed by a better understanding of the game in general
I would like to point out how right you are though on the community - hands down the best community I've ever encounter in an online game and I've played quite a few. The community alone may be what keeps me around in this game longer than others.
