Aya if we ever got a raid again we would soon see the efects of changing PvE. That is truely only if Melee have all auras "recharged" and enough skilled.If that is truely the case then what are people whining about....But actually, each duels result depends how players are skilled..No "pure" forms in 'open class/skills system' game
Without auras - duel = few elementals shoots.
And even using auras, AoD (lvl 250 melee too) stiil have bigger chances win again lvl 250 melee...
Player (250 melee and 250 ele) have less advantage using melee, than ele in duels, and uncomparable less in PvP/hunts/etc...If that is truely the case then what are people whining about....
To fight 2* bosses - enough 1 melee, to hold boss, and 'fill' other 'slots' with ele/heal.
Well, if melee needed only as 'tank', then best option is 1h + shield... Where 'place' for 2h melees? 2H melee are worse than 1h when 'tanking', and 2h melee is'nt so good 'damage dealer'

Ever played Torbak Tennis ?
you get 2 mages standing about 10m apart, and one Torbak attacking.
the one getting chewed on heals the distant one, who nukes, until the first one drops, then does a big heal on the fallen one as the torbak runs to the second... swap sides and repeat
keep playing til someone fumbles a res, you get more adds than you can deal with, or you run out of Torbaks (that hasnt happened yet
)

30 seconds might be a wee bit long, then you might as well not have any healers at all during the pvp battle
but a similar thing could work well

This thread went into a melee vs. ele discussion. 
Actually there is one thing what makes mages that powerfull: their amps.
Try killing a same lvl melee without amps. Mage will die, i'm 100% sure.
Amps give 4x bonus to ele damage per second (2x power, 2x speed) and
that's why ele (and heal) is so powerfull. Without amps the two classes would be almost equal.
Balancing is always a hard thing. Imho they should:
- nerf amps
- buff melees to absorb more damage ( both melee and ele damage! )
- do something with ranged to make launchers usable
- change the xp calculation a bit to give more xp for a mob and keep xp/time ratio the same as now
And mobs are good the way they are, what do you want, easy to kill super mobs with super mats? Time for some challenge...

or an imediate rez but a reset on the PvP timer so you can watch the action but cant fight for 30 secs
Can you heal PvP'ers whilst timed out of PvP ? - if so make it so you cant
