i just red the QA on the next things to implent.. and the was a thing about lowerin the heal power... grrr well a 250 healer wiht 100/100 amps heal 6960 soo if i understod this 6960 / 3 = 2320 hmmm and thats the highest spell lvl there is and then u have the hp and sap cost of that ??? any understand what i mean? i.e aranakin hits u ffor 2100 dmg !! get a heal about 5 times then and the healer is out of sap and hp!! is this wise... i use 100/100 amps for lvl 210 spells but not using them i use 180 spells on the dbl heals then my 2350 heal with sap or stam would be 783!!!!!!!!!!!! lol and think about the sap and stam heals then they are so low now that would make me heal about 150-200ish sap or stam on dbl heals making me have to use sap/sap heal instead muching my hp and sap with it.. i think the devs should really think about this.. or lower the mobs dmg then..
very upset Rawpure and is currently looking for another game cuz all this stuff from the devs only make things worse everytime...

Firstly, the stuff you read in the Q&A is just ideas they're throwing around. It's far away from being in game.
Secondly, the whole discussion was taking place solely because they said it's too easy to rez people that have fallen in PvP. Therefor any changes wouldn't affect sap/stam heal and may only be limited to PVP applications.
Thirdly, there are a bunch of fine suggestions in the thread that would be much nicer than a global nerf of heal to one third it's power, and I'm sure they'll get consideration.
Be glad they're talking about this way before they actually make any changes.

Seems like the radical cutting of heal power by a factor of 3 (even 2) is not the solution. That would nerf fighting by teams in almost all forms.
If they are concerned about rezzing too easily, then make a larger rez cost. You could have a death reservoir that equalled the person's normal HP that must be healed/filled before they could be rezzed, in addition to the cost now.
Simply messing with the whole system of healing to solve a targetted issue is vey simple-minded and irresponsible (and not likely to help retain the customers Ryzom needs).

I don't think it needs to be divided.
I think rather than being a steep ascent in healing power, as it is now it should be a shallower slope.

Thar comes a time when anybudy wot be in charge o' runnin a game gotta throw logic to de winds, an go wit wot makes tings fun.
It's a game. In ev'ry game thar be a fine balance o' challenge versus reward. I been GMing roleplayin games fer 25 years, since dwarves wer all fighters, an nobody e'er herd o' Lolth. I know dat dat balance be de hardest part o' de job. Like I sed to a friend erlyier, dey gots me sympathy, iffin not me full approval yet. But nerfin healin e'en a lil wuld make it so yer group wuld be lackin in firepower. I know dat de mobs ain wot dey wer affer thar god-patch, but dey still too powerful fer healin to be made any weaker, at leas outside o' PvP.
Ya weakens healin, ya makes fightin be werk, not fun. It be a game I be payin to play, gots werk enuff on Earth.

problem with healing ATM, is there arent enough ppl willing to do it.. which means those who do, lvl quickly and become xp killers for others. Healing a party is a more demanding and difficult role than spamming nuke spells or double-tapping your favourite melee attack and geting a coffee, so making it less effective will seriously degrade the entire game experience.
If the devs feel it needs to be 'nerfed' maybe they should look at somehow reducing it for PvP ONLY.
The standard tactic in the PvP ive seen is KILL THE HEALERS FIRST, which does a good job of reducing their effectiveness.
I reckon they should go out -incognito- and see how easy it is to find healers to party with, before making the role even less attractive.
The PvP they end up with had better be a thing of grace, beauty, and wonder.. because they're doing a damm good job of alienating all their playerbase who couldnt care less about PvP to bring it about

Reading this I saw that they were thinking of making the change due to pvp. Being this was the only reason they mentioned I was thinking they should make the change pvp only. So the heals would have one value during normal game play or during pvp.
Another option since it was mainly for when rezzing people is they could give it a different power when the people are dead compared to normal game play. I think this may be a suitable fix.

Firstly, nerfing healing is only one part of the whole balance, so you don't have to make opinion about that before you know other parts.
Don't forget that at this time support mage classes are usually not used. Def and off affliction mages usually don't play important roles in a team because healers are able to keep the fighters up. But if healers are not that powerfull you need to find other ways to reduce damage: stun, slow, blind etc.
Actually healing is amazingly powerfull in this game. It is not right than a nuker can kill everything because the healers are able to heal against any damage in the game even without armor protection on the one who takes that damage.
As Mikos said: nukers are damage dealers, tanks are damage absorbers. Two different roles, a mage don't need to be able to stand in front of an uber noob. Kill it fast enough or die.
