Which race got the sharp end of the stick?
Re: Which race got the sharp end of the stick?
Thank you all for your replies, it seems the discussion is set. As for the poll option where "all races had the same luck with regions and geography" shud appear, i must say im still a noob when it comes to polls so couldnt change it, my humble apologies.

Mos' o' de time, I comes down on de side fer makin Diggin/craftin easier, as it can fer sher an deffinite be de mos' tedious (tho necessary) part o' livin' on Atys. Heh, de only time it gits excitin is when yer jus about to die (kinda hard to solo a level 205+ mob wit 1800 health an no weapons
) an when ya gits social wit de chattin, lotta times ya kill/blow up yer source, sumtimes gittin DP frem it, an' at de very leas', lowerin de KT causa yer incompitence, heh.
Aye, I voted Tryker, an I don' tink de others shuld be made harder to balance tings out, I'm fer makin it at least possible fer a harvester to git spots witout DP in de lakes, OR, makin de level o' danger werthwhile, 'nother werds, summa de spots whar ya be guarenteed to die renderin supreme craftin mats.
I'll risk alot fer Exe mat's, an everyting fer Sup, but it's alla time rumpled me sails riskin DP fer basic mats
Thar do be one bonus, tho, fer de set-up wit de lakes. I been diggin all o'er, tho not near as much in de Forest, an I seen alot o' folks, in focus gear, armed wit a pick, head straight inta de middle o' a pack o' aggros. It happens time, an time agin. Ya almos ne'er see a Lake-type digger do dat kinda stunt past level 100. Iffin discretion be de better part o' valor, gittin de barnacle side o' de diggin hull haf made we Tryker's de bravest homins on Atys

Re: Which race got the sharp end of the stick?
I remember when I started playing and wanted to dig something higher QL then 50 Loria was the best place to go. WoM was guarded by 20 red zerx's, fount aswell. I did not try BB so loria was the best place, little dp, easy mats if you sneaked past a few mobs, wich was alway's scary and rather fun
If I had gotten in fount or wom there would be empty spaces all around, like that part of loria in the east with no mobs whatsoever. Not complete. But never got there in time I suppose. (anybody know?)
Tryker seem to have it harder to find the right QL mats, but it is verry good training for pr digging wich is a lot more rewarding (in Ql, eg excelent and supreme) then lake digging altho a bit slower since the weather has something to say about it.
It seems the biggest complaint about the tryker lands is the way they have designed especialy in view of harvesters. I wish I had a town I could port to walk 25m and dig ql 200 mats, but I can't. Then again I have much more respect for a 200 lake then a 200 desert digger/crafter.
I voted tryker since the question wants an awnser who has the least desireable digging for fast leveling. For exploration and need to group to get mats the trykers are doing much better as neun pointed out

Oh lookie a thingy, that would go very well with this thingy I have here and the other thingy I found at the uhm thingy near uhm well, that's not important right now. This might make a excellent thingy to hit thingies with

Re: Which race got the sharp end of the stick?
Umm you guys must be doing something terribly wrong lol , imo Tryker is the second easiest land to forage if you go through the regions and not straight to the sweet spots (taking into account travel as well as agro id rate them (Easy) Desert , Lakeland , Jungle , Forest (Hard) for the 50 to 200 areas) . Cant realy comment on the 250 regions yet as ive still limited experience there . It maybe that you (or i) just chose the wrong mat groups to use to lvl a region , i always try to get the best use of mats from each region , ive lvld all but Jungle at the same time so i switch mat groups (ie Melee/range/Shield/Armour) to suit
Im 207 desert / 201 forest / 250 Jungle / 190 Lakeland / 154 PR
Tryker did used to be bad but its not the case anymore , all lands are roughly equal when you balance everything up

Re: Which race got the sharp end of the stick?
I say sure Trykers have it tough. We're small, our land is the hardest to get to. The Matis enslaved us in generations past. Hunting and digging is easier elsewhere. However, we are still the happiest of all homins. The Lakelands are beautiful. But mainly we wouldn't trade our cute Trykerettes for all the supreme mats and pushover mobs in Atys!
