Just unsubscribed

Post by txamin »

Hello all,

After spending some days playing the game, i decided to unsubscribe.
This game has some interesting concepts, a great skill system, can't say much about community, as I dind't see many players in game, but it feels empty and pointless. I'm not really interested in killing monsters all day ar grinding my skills up for that matter, just for the possibility fo participating in an event or doing something interesting.

That said, I still have some time to play before my current subscription ends, and will keep an eye on the game in the future, but right now, I can't really find a reason to log in.

Bye all.

Well, judging whole game based on starter island is surprisingly common misconception. There were couple of points in your post that looked like starter island. Just wanted to make sure that you gave mainland a look also.

Ryzom is not really a single player game and without experiencing the community that is there, it will be pretty boring. It is not most populated game but there are players and you can do all kind of stuff together.

if you have truly played only some days, then you have not seen nothing yet. But one thing you got right, there is so many regions/zones (/who lists ppl only in one zone), so there is not enough player to fill them all.
It all depends on timezone too.

can i ask what you are looking from mmo then ? if not working up your levels (you can do it slow or fast, whatever you prefer).
join a guild (not needed but helps alot)

and events.. you can be lvl 0 if you like and still participate (you do probably need access to other lands and dappers to get tp tickets)

make new char for every race to see other lands. wait for season changes. go exploring (experienced player can do world tour with lvl0 char btw, it just does takes some time - you need right season for some zones and lot of patience)

there is some games out there where you progress your char w/o any "grind".. you dont even have to be online... i think its boring.

anyway, gl for you to find what you looking for.

Well, i assume certain amount of grind as part of the genre, but I have a problem when the grind becomes the game.
