applied vampirism

Post by aelvana »

If you're a high level elemental mage, and are working on a lower level fight skill, you can eliminate downtime with vampirism. Make an elemental spell using your strongest vampirism, and make the elemental portion the same level as your max vampirism. Use your strongest range and time credits, then sap for the rest -- if you outpace your sap regen, you'll end up with downtime. Stingas and Psyclopas(sp) attack using only magic, and are the smart way to quickly refill your HP, since you'll resist most spells and won't get hit while casting. Make an action using your highest HP credit and use that to fight instead of stamina, and you'll get rid of downtime soloing fight. I'm 205 ele and can solo my highest fight (125) nice and fast. Just throw on your gloves when you need to refuel. It's a good use for the useless.

Wouldnt having as small nuke part with as large vamp part possible, together with only range and time credit, and put that in your weapon work ? ie an enchant
Dont really understand why you would want to ele when you are leveling your melee

To get the highest drain you can you need to use a nuke of the same level as your vamp. I don't get experience when I vamp plants -- it only takes me a couple quick kills though to refill my HP and resume fighting, rather than having to sit for a couple minutes.

or skip the vamp part and just use nukes from the enchant, can strip 4/5ths hp off a plant for swift kills, only downtime then is re-making crystals.

The point wasnt to kill the plants though, but to heal yourself with vampirism thus reducing downtime :)
