I would like to know if that thing what "players did not get yet" means that we haven't yet understood how to cure this poisoning or we don't have yet access to poison antidote potions or similar.
EDIT: Wording suggest former
Jugula DoT
Re: Jugula DoT
Agree Neun.Teleporting is suposed to be interupted if you take damage![]()
Anyway current state need to be improved/fixed/changed.
Teleporting or DoT should be interrupted (better die "here" but not tp to other region and lost 'tp pact' (because happens sometimes - last 'tp pact')

Re: Jugula DoT
I've followed this issue closely, from the first time it happened to me till recent doubletap posts reporting this "bug" - yes, I've been killed while porting, after jugula dropped, etc -
As far as I know, this could also not be a typical "link spell" but simply player is "poisoned", as in traditional RPG games, needing a cure or antidote.
Pressing invulnerability has saved me several times (yes, confirmed, I have survived those spells *solo* without killing the jugula, invul=.
Now that we have official dev cofirmation, I see it like this: jugulas may posion you, it's not a 'typical DoT' related to a distance and keeping a link up, but something that kills you until you use an antidote: for me it's the invulnerability spell and lines up with some patch notes of several patches ago
Anissa.

Re: Jugula DoT
So, if I understood correctly there is no bug in this jugula effect. It can be cured by getting far enough and using invulnerability.
There is however problem if teleport ticket is used to get far away due to new region loading time and another problem is that damage caused by this effect seens to be out of balance.
Just want to clear up this discussion. If devs handle tickets with problem "Jugulas cause link effect that is buggy and won't stop if anything happens", they will say that it works as intended but you haven't found way to stop this effect.

Re: Jugula DoT
I agree.
Seems like a simple "poisoning" to me.
The Animation for that DoT looks like that of the Matis Poison Spell, so why can´t it be a simple piosonous bite?
If a Cobra bit you in RL, you´d be dead a few seconds later, even if the snake was dead, or you´d teleported away.
So be thankfull that in SoR you can resurrect and just walk away from it, with ONLY a few DP.
And "Invul" seems to be the "Antidote", eh?

Re: Jugula DoT
I think that it's probably to do with the current focus on usable potions by the dev team; antidotes are probably in there. I also think that some people really need comments like Xavier passed on from Vince due to the "Boy who cried wolf" scenaio's we have had previously on occasion. If someone tells us one thing is "working as intended" when it isn't, when we come to something that is actually "working as intended" people tend to be a little sceptical.
Don't get me wrong, it would be wonderful if the users could figure this sort of stuff out for themselves but for that they would have to have lived in a WORLD WITHOUT BUGS!
"I get stuck in a wall, I don't blame the game! The wall must be sticky!"
"The water in the lake has vanished almost overnight! Some evil is afoot! We must find the culprits and get them to put it back."
Of course it's never going to happen, it's a game! Games stop having bugs and I'll be out of a job! I'm just thankful we have such a great dev team that they are willing to give us hints about issues that are occurring in game. I know plenty of others that would just have harped on with the same line until a solution was given.

Re: Jugula DoT
DoT looks like that of the Matis Poison Spell
Well, we can call this "effect", because this dont looks like "poisoning".is no bug in this jugula effect
Why invulnerability stop "poisoning? (but do not stop "Bleeding")
Kirosta lvl 2xx poison you (icon appear) and damage is 15-50 dmg
Jugula lvl 2xx "poison" you (nothing appear) and damage is up to 900 + hits at same time over 1k dmg.
Impossible to have "world without bugs" (and personally i live with this 'bug'(?) long time (and getting "hurted" everyday) and can live further), but when we have only phrase - "it works, as intended", without an explanation of details and actually "why" - . . .WORLD WITHOUT BUGS!
IMHO there better fit 2nd Nevraxs standard answer: "We will look / We looking into this"

Although it has little bearing on the subject in hand, could you explain why Booster needs to be careful please Neun?

One thing I fail to understand is this : If this is actually intended, and it's related to Potions or something similar, why is the effect currently in game, when the cure/antidote is not available? I appreciate things need testing before going live, but it makes no sense whatsoever to have an affect without the intended remedy - it only serves to create threads like this one, and bad feeling.
This is exactly the kind of 'oversight' that was supposed to be in the past.

dazman76 wrote:Although it has little bearing on the subject in hand, could you explain why Booster needs to be careful please Neun?As far as I see it, even if damage should stop TP, it isn't in this case - or Booster wouldn't have been able to test it?
Orginally - along time ago ..... MPA (17sec) +TP ticket was a get out of jail free card.
Then, not sure whether it was down to players complaining or the devs deciding that this was their intent or just by accident....
It was announced that 'Teleportation will cancel, if you are hit'.
This meant that you couldn't teleport unless you were stood still in a mob free evironment for 15 secs (and you didn't equip anything).
Recently we seem to have returned to the more flexable TP usage.
Need to confirm, but moving - still cancels the TP
You can equip while the tp is counting down (I think)
You can TP while being hit by a mob (With MPA on)
The 'be careful' bit is - Booster says he dies after teleporting, however if the rules that were last stated and have not be restated differently.....'The teleport will cancel if you are hit.'. So to comment that you are dead after teleporting becomes a wider issue as .... Should you be allowed to teleport while taking damage from the poison?
As we have a 'part' answer of the Jug - poison issue ..... it kinda doesn't matter now that we are wandering of to relms of other things that may/may not work as intended.

Oh the joys of parallel development teams

- PVP team gets tasked with a job - and completes it.
- Stanzia team gets tasked with a job - and run in to problems and its delayed
- The Mob team gets tasked with a job - and completes it.
Do you release all the work the 'Mob team' has done or do you delay it till the 'Stanzia team' finish their task (in a month or 3?)
The 'mob team' project may have inculded a small change to the special attack and 100s of other changes that were killing the live game (Melee bug for example)
Delay or Release - either way your damned!
Re: Jugula DoT
Well, I don´t see this as an "oversight".
It took a lot of RL time to develop an Antidote for Snakes bite.
So why shouldn´t there be a Mob with an "incurable" bite in Game?
It simply takes time to FIND the Antidote.
Sorry Dazman, but I simply hate it when people can´t get their imagination to work on such simple things. And remember, Atys is a Fantasy/medieval/SciFi World, where the Homis take the medieval part. So somewehre INGAME in darkened laboratory, some crazy Wiseman is working frantically on a cure for the bite of the dreadful Jugula.
Why not accept it as "Working as intended"? Why scrutinizing every nook an cranny and pulling apart the great Vision that is Atys even more, than the "true" Bugs allready do?
