I think a consumable with a 15 second or 20 second consumption time would be good. This way it does not help a team, only the solo-er. Make it so they can only carry a few and there you have it. Fixed.

While consuming, you should be unable to act, move, etc. maybe you should even have to be sitting. If you did any of the above, it would cancel your action.

It would still need to be a bigger challenge to solo than team. That is the team advantage.

Ditto what he said. The main thing in my mind is to avoid the Diablo-clone effect where you just fill up on healing and hit it each time you get a little low right in the middle of the fight. 15-20 seconds is a bit long; but the idea is right on. Add to it the idea that if you get hit, it cancels the consumption too. Like TP tickets are today. (That means the code for this is already in place, so it shouldn't be a big drama to add it, right? Or is that naive?)

Keep it simple.

Can't move, can't get hit or it's cancelled. Maybe it slowly regens the stat as the timer runs? So if you get hit when it's 99% done you pretty much got it all anyway. (but if you get hit when it's 10% done you get a little hp and the rest of the potion is lost)

Would have no effects on team, a quick heal is cheaper and better.

Great for soloing, cuts regen time out (especially if you can craft consumables that do both hp/stam or hp/sap at the same time)


I'd like to see more interesting and unique consumables added as well, but simple regen ones would be fine for the first version.
