anyone have a clue how big is our playerbase on this server is?

I have not seen this game in many stores and I know that at least Amazon has screwed the people that had preordered the game from them, as in they will not be shipping to those who preordered until some time in Novemeber. Since they did not inform those who used them to preorder game (mostly beta players) until after the game was released I am sure that there are many who will be joining us but will not go out and get the game as they really wanted the pre order item and cannot get it now unless they wait for the game from Amazon.
If you fear that there are too few players I offer you this point of view... you get to play before any nerfs and the more players the faster the nerfs... you get to help establish the price of things and how much a dapper is really worth... not bad trade offs in my mind.
I say wait until after X-Mas at least to see how well this game fairs in North America... it did go Gold pre release after all, so please do not worry before you need to, just enjoy yourself and tell anyone who will listine to come on in as the water is fine. I know I do.

lol, i just got that.
i used to have one myself
as far as wait til after christmas, it'll be tough to get any new players in. we've got eq2, wow and matrix all coming. how will this game with very little marketing compete?

You know, I'm really kinda bummed that this game isn't getting more exposure in stores. I actually know some people who *want* to play, but can't find a copy!
I don't know who's in charge of distribution in NA for Nevrax, but I think they need a fire lit under their butts to get more copies out to stores.
I'm doing my part to get the word out that there is a real gem of a game called Saga or Ryzom that is probably under most people's radars - call it a "sleeper".
Hopefully we can get the numbers up to really help this game take off. I've already seen several people mention that they have no intention of going to EQ2 or WoW now that they're into Ryzom.. and that's saying something, considering all the hype those two games have built up around them.

Well I am just hoping and looking at the positive, I cross my fingers, my toes, and my eyes that when this game is properly distributed and when players of on line games are looking for something that is not so generic as the games to soon be released, I betaed them and like this most, we will see an influx of players... and again I say that there are many who I think preordered from Amazon but are still waiting for the game so that they can get the armlette who are yet to be accounted for... besides it cannot be any worse then the North American player load on Horizons and they have not folded yet... so we should get a good year of so of the game at least....again crosses fingers, toes, and eyes... and adds legs in for good measure.

Don't know if anyone noticed but the North American general board has the second largest number of posts. We had the most the other day.

that's because we talk too much! lol
i actually bought the game as a filler for the other games, but i've decided to hold on to it. just gotta decide which one of the others i'm going to give up.
