with specs now you can pull 20q above your skill with fails included. using a 100q stanza with 50 skill will fail nearly 95% of the time and youll be lucky to pull 50Q mats and with the patrolls and agro all being purple con i think the long haul to windy would still be more fruitfull in the longrun ;P they would need to get to 200q stanza in undersprings before they could even touch the supreme mats there

Yes, you would not be getting q100 mats out but you should be getting mixed bag. Actually q30 above your skill is possible too but requires bit luck.

However, using much higher q stanza won't penalize you much if you have terrain spec. I have no problems using 50q over my real skills. Main reason not doing that is increased focus usage and harder time doing 3 spotting.

But you are correct that q150 areas in Umbra will provide like 10x more efficient leveling

the actuall lvl of the stanza affects the start of the dig the way to dig over your lvl in most areas is to use your normal stanza first for the main part then a higher stanza at the end which makes it easy to get 20q above your lvl

if you have to use the higher q stanza from the start because your skill is too low then you have alot more trouble getting to your own lvl let alone getting over it pr forage is alot different that it used to be

BTW, if you looked up and talked to anyone you would have learned this LONG ago, and maybe decided to do forest instead of Desert.

and if my poll shows nothing then why do more people agree that it shouldnt be just matis materials in there? the majority goes to the other 2 answers wether people think we should all get our own map or have it change to pr mats, they all agree it needs to be changed because its not fair that forest mats should be the only type you can dig supreme mats of

If Forest digging was an exclusive skill that only MATIS could have. I see you point, however as it has been done with the prime roots .... ANY race can go there at level 10+ harvest (choice+ prospecting) and start leveling. Any race can buy Matis crafting plans.

So from a fairness point of view ALL is equal in the world of Ryzom.

why should we HAVE to dig forest if we want supreme race mats if i make a fyros char i expect to be able to make weapons the same standerds as all the other races without having to go to PR for them or start forest digging

if the other 3 races want supreme they have to take up a secondry forage tree matis dont... answer the question?
