If crafting is not an option to you.....you picked the wrong game then. Dont blame the crafters for your poor choice.

Huh? Please explain. If everyone was a crafter, who would you sell too?

You do not pay for the resources when you buy a crafted item from a crafter - you pay for the time and effort he had to put in to actually be able to create that item. I am not sure how many of you made it out of their newbie crafter days but try leveling your crafting above level 70 sometime.

A small example - 20 foraged mats that make exactly 1 weapon of highest grade the crafter can make will give him 2.5k xp. Thats 60k xp in foraging for the forager, the ratio is roughly 25:1 in xp and time.

Try crafting high level gear sometime before *****ing over prices. Getting the mats for supreme 250 is trivial, getting your craft level there - well we'll see in a few months.

Are you really so single minded?

I DONT SELL. I skill my craft up on missions, vendors buying a premium and otherwise I just craft for my own needs.

My crafting is 52 for armor and about 40 for the rest xcept for only 24 jewelcrafting. I got 2 packers full of mats (ok about 50% are Q20-30 only) and 1.300.000 dapper.

I sold not a single piece so far but gave some away for free. I used about 100k for skill ups. Everything is fine and if it wouldnt be for the lag issue I'd be happily crafting my q50 suit by now.

Further questions? ;)

The discussion is about prices toots. You also still didn't explain how this is the wrong game for me simply because I'm not interested in crafting.

I expect prices to come down when player character vendors are introduced. But until then I think 1000 dappers per quality level is a fair price. More if the item is made of better than basic materials or has an enchantment.

If you wan't only average quality items without thinking about it, then buy from NPC vendors. If you want good stuff with all the bells and whistles and looks, then you have to pay for it, either dapper, or the time and effort to make it yourself.

Because SoR is one of the few games where theres no loot. Players who dont craft themselves will never become independent therefore. And players who dont get along with this dependency from others will never be really satisfied with this game.

Although I still claim its the wrong game for non-crafters because there are enough phat lewt games out there you can also look for a guild that takes care of the needs of non-crafting members.

Joining such a guild will make you able to chuckle endlessly while the rip-off-crafters auction there stuff in the region channel - doesnt that sound appealing to you? ;)
