Don't panic. All MMOs tend to have a bit of a learning curve and you'll get familiar with everything soon enough. (Chances are you already have by now.)

The tutorial mission works like this:
Talk to the welcomer -> Talk to the fighter trainer -> Talk to the magic trainer -> Talk to the crafting trainer -> Talk to the harvesting trainer .. and then it tells you to head off the mainland when you're 20.

The interface is overwhelming at first but after an hour or two of playing you'll figure out which windows are important and which can stay closed indefinitely.

Or, if you're in the Trykker lands, you can click on the welcomer-->not get a response-->check the manual again-->try again-->give up and wander around shouting for guidance!

How did a bug with the TUTORIAL NPCS slip under the radar? There was a beta, no?
