And was also wondering if it's hard to officially increase the default max zoom distant a smitch for everybody.

I would rather prefer a much large zoom. As a forager, I like zooming out and looking at my surrounding. The more zoom, therefore, the better. Sometimes compass isn't that best solution when there are so many darn herbies around >:{

And these days, herbies enjoy pulling aggro on people! I know, I'm a victim of it.

I strongly believe that the distance is too short.

Also - you should be able to zoom out WITHOUT a scroll mouse.
