The Kitin
Kitin Kitin, burning black,
Shiny shadow of the Dark;
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what darkened shoot or root,
Gleam the opal of thine suit?
On what shell dare we admire?
What the coat, the living sapphire?
And what nesting, in what core,
Echo the chillness of thy roar?
And when thy roar began to break,
What dread claws? In what dread lake?
What the water, what the goo?
In what soil was thy brew?
What the moon beam? What sharp stick,
dare its deadly terrors prick?
When Ma-Duk reined in his steed,
And watered Atys with his seeds.
Did he and Jena smile to see?
Did he who made Yubo made thee?
