I'd definately try summarizing all suggestions as they come in to this thread and update your list in the first post here so everyone hitting the thread knows what has been mentioned already. In my experience when threads get beyond 3 pages or so people justdont have the time to read all the replies so just reply to the initial question.
It would also be much easier for the Dev's to digest if you have a summary of all the thread ideas in the first post.
Most Desired Improvements
Re: Most Desired Improvements
Why have multiple tickets in the first place ?
One ticket (available from any tp) that could be used to port to any teleport given that :-
A/ You had already been to that location and
B/ You meet the fame and rite (for the now inactive teleports) requirements
"The ticket" could sit in your inventory as it does now but once activated pop-up a respawn type world map showing all the tp's you could jump to (requirements for use met) , select - port - buy new universal ticket , the option to trade/give a ticket to someone else wouldnt be a problem either the requirements are on how its used (you couldnt use it to gain access where you shouldnt)
Edit:- maybe two universal tickets, one Kami one Karavan

Re: Most Desired Improvements
I agree with this.
In Karavan terms, you could consider it a communicator. Just bring it out and say the name of the place you want to go, it's broadcast on some Karavan frequency, and the appropriate Karavan guide hears you and ports you.
In Kami terms I'm sure the same thing would work except think of it as magic rather than technology. You say the place name and their communicator device magically plays it on some ethereal plane that kami guides can hear and the proper one ports you in.
Maybe each new place you visit needs to take your communicator and tune it to reach their post. And you are first given the device when you teleport off starter island . "Ok, we'll take you to the main land. Oh, and here, you're going to need this to get around. Whenever you meet one of us, let them tune it to their station"
Perhaps you need to earn the communicator from the "other" faction by doing a mission for them.
And I don't see the point of paying dapper to use it, we'll see if they answer the "What do they do with the money" question.....

The current system forces you to plan ahead and not just assume you can jump someplace. I think that part of it should be kept.petej wrote:Why have multiple tickets in the first place ?

Also, why pay for it? Why do the Kami/Karavan need dapper? Maybe they don't. But you pay for it because there should be a reason for using them vs. running someplace. If it's free, no one ever sees the countryside again because there's no downside to porting.
Others have suggested the price should even go up. Maybe, but unlike the high-level crafters, I'm having a hard time keeping my dapper balance up. I spend most of my time hunting and I'm often more worried about xp than looting, so I don't get much from the loot. (and before you tell me to start digging, I can't play all day long, so I'm focusing my efforts on combat for now, thanks.)
Maybe the price should be inversely proportional to the distance/risk. i.e. if you're just porting between Yrkanis and Davae, charge more. It's an easy enough run that you should not be wasting the great and powerful Karavan's time for something that easy.

Re: Most Desired Improvements
Back to random suggestions...
I'd love to see a unique "double missile" spell blueprint you earn in the defensive affliction branch. Why do we get gypped with getting the heal one???
It doesn't make much sense to have a stun/sleep or even worse, stun/fear. Ideally, there should be new skills added (in both defensive and offensive affliction) but I won't go there right now.
But I would be happy with just double stun, or double fear, or double sleep. Give me two chances to link in the same shot.
And/Or possibly, let me add vampirism to my stun. Either I slowly suck hp or anyone who does damage to it while it's stunvamped or sleepvamped sucks back some HP.
I also wouldn't mind combination with a nuke or just DoT, but that doesn't fit very well with the "defensive" category.
I just want something other then the double heal which was just stolen from another tree...

Re: Most Desired Improvements
my suggestion for better game play and a better game is very easy
fix the bugs that are in the game and have been for months and cause the game to become unstable and crash
here's a prime example of a bug in the game that's been the for months

http://www.whack.org/~drjones/ryzom/screenshot136.jpg
http://www.whack.org/~drjones/ryzom/screenshot137.jpg
those moving lines are bugs in the object itself and cause lots of cpu lag as it tries to fix the bug itself and the guides and gm's blame you and your system for a flaw in the world itself
- other bugs include the mount bug where ppl appear invisible when riding and their toon looks to be doing the funky chicken where ever they mounted
- the bug at the gates or yrk with one of the textures/models
- the "you can't get dp from a mob you can't earn xp from"
- the numbers changing on tickets which causes the new "stackable" tickets not to stack and rendering the ticket stacking feature totally useless
- general stability and loading issues with the game and how it renders it
if i think of more i'll post more but i say we need a bug fix/stability issue

A few quick questions, did you try:
- Changeing between D3D and OpenGL?
- Check for alternative gfx driver?
- Change resolution and colour depth?
- Changeing 3D options in the advanced screen menu (not SoR)?
- Other graphic size packets (SoR)?

ok how does changing any setting on my system impact how a bugged map is displayed?
this is a bug in the world itself no amount of fixing on my end will EVER fix it
maybe read what my post states instead of saying something that is completely wrong and has nothing to do with my post at all or the issue at hand

Re: Most Desired Improvements
I think it was fairly clear what I was responding to...
Anyway to be clear, the 'lines' seen in the screenshots shown, are of texture maps applied in a way not intended*.
Therefore it would be logical to check software (drivers and settings) and hardware, and of course the (data) files for SoR (by running the ryzom_recover tool).
Why you might ask. I have run SoR on several different hardware/software configurations and have not come across that particular problem, I therefore think (not know!) it might be a problem with your particular hardware and/or software configuration.
So my, hopefully, help to you, is to go through the previous list I made and try that.
Further more, knowing your software/hardware setup helps in finding the problem. In case it turns out not to be a problem with your system, the dev's have more information to go on, when they are trying to track down the bug.

Re: Most Desired Improvements
All i can say is that rendering improved a lot. The Gateways are new and better. The old ones looked weird (white rotating quadrangles) from distance on my ATi setup. The new ones look always perfect.
Colors are somehow more saturated. Renderung is faster with lesser lag.
