Hello
Hello
I just ordered a copy of ryzom since no store in central minnesota carries it and am expecting to play very shortly. i've wanted to play since before it was released and now finally i have a computer capable of playing. I was just wondering how many people play this anymore. i'm going to play regardless of the population, but it would be more fun to see some people. if it's anything like the other mmorpg's i've been playing, the servers are probably dwindling.
Re: Hello
Welcome to The Saga of Ryzom!
If you've got any questions feel free to ask away; that's what we're here for. LOL
Anyhoo - there are more people here nowadays. More new ones coming in, maybe drawn by the ratings on mmorpg.com and then there are old ones returning; exciting times are ahead like a much desired raincloud on the horizon to drench the parched earth. *wink*

Re: Hello
Welcome to Ryzom,
Server numbers go up and down. There are enough people for me to have fun, but there is no queues to join the server
Be careful you don't get killed while standing around admiring the place
and ask away if you have questions.
There are also game guides in the Player Guildes section below ( http://www.ryzom.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=17 ). You may need to change the thread age cut off to see some as they haven't been changed for ages...
Enjoy.

Aye, welcome Lokkea. I don't know how many people you will see on the beginner's island, but once you come to the mainland you should see some folks most definitely.
If you need a tour of Atys, there are several people that enjoy giving tours or slapping together one so just ask away. I like to explore myself as well so I'd be happy to show you around as well.
Hope to see you soon.

Re: Hello
Every time a big title is released that will draw most new players for some time. Also, some of the current Ryzom players try new game.
After some time hype wears down from new title and new and old people start coming back to Ryzom. I have seen this phenomenom with WoW and GW. In long therm I do not see that necessarily bad as big titles bring totally new players to MMORPGs that will try some better MMORPGs (like Ryzom
after they get bored to big title after 2 months
