Weapon stats (also online guide?)

Hi. I've been playing for a couple of days, and I'm sorta figuring out the stats on items, etc. I was searching the site for a guide on equip, but there doesn't seem to be one.

First: What do the different two numbers mean on damage? 40(85) for example.

Second: I DLed the game, so I have no guide. Where can I look for similar answers to questions like the one above?

to answer ur question about stats on DMGs..this 2 numbers r depend on 2 things ie 2h sword Dmg 175(252) speed 27 :
1. First important number to check is 252- this is max avaible dmg at this weapon that u can make using it what ue level allows u to...as u see in my example max dmg for 2h weapons can be (2xQ+52) Q is quality of weapon...
2.Second number refering to dmgs is 175 it shows in which percentage ur cheracter meets requrements for this weapon...so if u carry q100 weapon but ur level with 2h meele is lower than 100 u cannot fully use max dmgs.
The essence in SoR is balance...u use gear common to ur levels to get best performance. Notice that this if u fully use dmgs also depends on what level of fighting skill u use (each1 is proper for certain q of weapon u use)..damn this sounds bit complicated..but in open skill system it should lol
3. next very important thing imo is speed of weapon-hit per minute.....the max for each wepons r:
-2h 30hpm
-1h 40 hpm
-daggers 60hpm

Thats not entirely correct

Max speeds:

2h: 30hpm, 1h: 39hpm, daggers: 58hpm (could be 59, but it sure isn't 60)

This game has online help that is pretty good explaining stats and windows. Right click weapon to see info screen. Then you can see question mark in top right corner. Click it and you will see help text explaining different stats for weapon.
