Maybe Haddo should personalize his jewels then if he don't want them being resold =Pmmatto wrote:And original sellers try to ban this behaviour. E.g. football world championship tickets.
He can always sell directly without using the vendors.

That would be nice stanza to add crafted items. Bound item to first homin that purchases it.mboeing wrote:Maybe Haddo should personalize his jewels then if he don't want them being resold =P

Re: Don't feed the resellers
This will prolly ruin my marketposition, but the following is nice to know:borg9 wrote:btw is there any jeweler that will make jewels with better item hit points of 119 ? (Seems to me as a Harvester it better to dig choice+ mats and use them, but what would I know)
- choice harvested mats have a lower durability then fine mob mats when concerning jewels
- Excellent harvested mats are plenty enough to find if they are of a type no-one is looking for like pha ambers or a few seed types.
These combinations gets you jewels with 150+ durability if I recall correct. Contact me ingame, I can check.

That sounds cursed to me, how can there ever be a market. No, I would like to personalize it visually, like a big silvery F on the back or something...mmatto wrote:That would be nice stanza to add crafted items. Bound item to first homin that purchases it.

Maybe "bounding" could work as credit allowing bit more bonuses on item but at same time limits its usability to one person.hans1976 wrote:That sounds cursed to me, how can there ever be a market. No, I would like to personalize it visually, like a big silvery F on the back or something...

Would destroy the 'hand-me-down' market.mmatto wrote:Maybe "bounding" could work as credit allowing bit more bonuses on item but at same time limits its usability to one person.
In my time leveling elemental past 100 I have only need amps when the new spell levels have been achieve.
My amps being of fantastic quality, the crafter knows her art , have been past on to another as gifts as they match her level.
I think if I had to start destroying equipement just because I had out leveled it would kill the game experience for me.
Items can't be listed on the merchants if they have wear on them, hps lost, so efectively what you are saying is once I have 'touched' a piece of equipment it can only be used by me?
The implications of this are great and the 'bounding' system is already used in WoW to prevent High Lvl farmers supplying special equipment to new characters.
As for extra boosts, isn't one of the issues mentioned on this thread that light armour and jewels have no restriction on them, therefore (money being no issue) there is only a need for ql250 of each type. Adding additional stats would mean people would only want 'personalised ql250'
If its 'bound' on take then you would have to get the items yourself and this would reduce the need to the GH ... would need be able to share equipment though out a guild.
If its not 'bound' on take then it will not stop the 'reseller' issue talked about here as the person doing the reselling is unlikely to equipment the item before relisting it.
Re: Don't feed the resellers
If it was recognised as a problem by the Devs then an answer could lie in the "This item is damaged and cannot be resold to players"
So the crafter can put the item on the market to be sold to players. But once the item has been purchased, theres a bit of code to 'damage' the item (without actually damaging it of course) and it can then only be resold back to the NPC not back to players.
Can still be traded to other people though as you can currenly do with used items.

Re: Don't feed the resellers
I would like introduction of lvl/stat requirements for lights and jewels.
Actually my low lvl character is something 30+ melee and has 1400+ hp. My main has not helped her in any way or she did not even buy best equipment she could afford. I would say it is ruining gaming experience a lil bit. Too much too early.
I guess bounding would not work if it is only such extra crafting option. But if there is lots of different crafting options bounding might be one. E.g. you could add 1 option to basic, 2 to mq and 3 to hq plan and crafter can buy these options with sp. Options should be balanced carefully, so there is no single uberset of options.
But this would be a topic of separate thread and realistically I would not expect getting anything of this magnitude implemented anytime soon (especially player suggested ideas).

Re: Don't feed the resellers
All this thread started of was by two players who got greedy and got noticed doing it.haddo wrote:At least a couple resellers active right now - Munkie and Mudd selling high jewelry marked up from player prices.
Technically, this doesn't hurt me at all, I get my dapper from the sale. It does hurt the players that have limited funds. I want my jewels to be available at my prices or lower, not my prices or higher.
So I want to encourage players to buy from merchandise from the crafters which will help your fellow players. If the resellers aren't making sales, then lower priced merchandise will stay in stock. If you buy from the resellers, they will keep buying out the lower price merchandise and marking it up. Pass the word along in guild / region if you want also.
So, now you all can debate free market etc. My opinion is they add no value and aren't entitled to basicallys steal dapper from players.
Feel free to e-mail me and post here if you find other resellers or if you find out who the PCs are behind these guys, since they may be alts.
Haddo - Pegasus Foundation - Master Desert and Jungle.
So now we have a crafter Saint Haddo crying out about this, and i can understand where he is coming from But the simple awnser to all this would be to get players to use a tell ingame or drop you an email in game so they can get orders of you at the price you want them to have them....so simple.
But no you want a closed market so only crafters can sell the goods they make onto the market with no resale and so all Traders(resellers) suffer...well thats up to you just hope you can get around Ryzom to get to the players who cannot get to other markets to find goods you have.Their is a place for Resellers on Ryzom it's just you guys want the monopoly on the market.
Most traders~trade fair and you could get your wish and push the trader of the market...we will see
