Its too bad that jewels and light armor are not somehow level bound as all other items are.

Its making life for new and low level much too easy. Plus its taking away all sense in creating lower lvl versions of these items.
One way round this and I suggest Haddo puts it in, time limit of 24 hours to resell items that are 200+.
Alot of the ppl doing it are casual greedy gits, turn up buy everything relist at a higher price. If resell time limit was introduced then it wont stop it but it introduces the element of risk, buy up-24 hours come to relist-Haddo has already put more on-greedy git left holding items he cant sell.

Is this turning into a 'lets punish Haddo for selling Q250 jewelry' thread ?

Keoni's wares are turning up under Mudds name now too.

I agree that it is inconsistant not having level requirements on jewelry or light armour, although supposedly you can only benefit from bonuses up to equal your own stat ( if you have 400 hp, you can only get 400 extra hp ).

I can also see how other jewelers are threatened by having q250 stuff to compete with. This was going to happen eventually, anyway, and is even more daunting to anyone just starting their crafting career.

The first point is a balance issue that Nevrax should have put more thought into, trying to fix it now will provoke much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

The second, well, perhaps Mudd and Munkie are fronts for a conspiracy of 2nd tier jewellers :P

Regardless of the economics, My view is that these resellers are leeching off the time and commitment of the crafters, not for the sake of the game but purely out of greed.. and for DAPPERS !!! I mean, its not as if they're worth anything in the first place..

Resellers = Nuisance griefers, treat them like the scum they are :)

I am going to stay out of the reseller issue - I don't see any moral issues with buying any item and relisting it.

I am posting for the follow reason:

There is a restriction on Jewels and Lights (in fact all equipement) its just not obvious.

The restriction is wear rate.

If you level a lvl 50 skill while wearing ql250 Jewels, they will break very very very fast. (equipment level diferential is one of the key factors in the wear rate calculation)

So if you want to spend a million dappers on jewels that will last 10 hrs, the go for it.

btw is there any jeweler that will make jewels with better item hit points of 119 ? (Seems to me as a Harvester it better to dig choice+ mats and use them, but what would I know)

I have not seen this with my low lvl character who has quite nice high q equipment. Wear rate is minimal.

In in-balanced teams, with more that 2 members the wear rates are really bad and solo its based on number of attacks.

I have been leveling CC recently. I have lost 50% of the hps on an old set of jewels and took a good 1/3 off my ql200 medium armour (soloing stinga lvl 100+).

This might have alot to do with the 'number of hits/attacks' as daggers are low damage but very fast rate.

With Jewels+armour I have almost 4k HPs so soloing lvl 120 mobs is easy.
(CC soon 90, but was 57)

Do we understand the laws of economy?

If a ware can be sold at a price there are people that are willing to pay the prize and the ware is in demand. If you are underselling there are likely people that will "adjust" the prize if the risk and effort are small. Just take a look at how many tickets for "sold out" concert are offered at many times their original prize.

If you don't like it don't buy the wares they sell. Once nobody is willing to buy the stuff at their prizes anymore they will likely stop doing it. Quite easy isn't it?

If I were intereseted in money at all I would go for it as well. But then money is such a none issue in this game its laughable.

Have you really verified that or is it a guess, because its nothing I have noticed in any kind.

Thats because CC uses a lot of actions. It has nothing to do with your lvl. You would have lost 50% of the HP on Q100 jewels as well (made of the same mats)
