We could always stage a wedding between a matis karavan follower and a fyros kami follower in the matis arena, and announce it well beforehand.raynes wrote:Yes, look where peaceful RP has gotten the game so far. Look around you in the game, it's dead. There is no excitement among the players. People don't have anything to care about. Instead of a game full of conflict and meaningful actions we have a game where a fake wedding with a GM reading a poem is a big deal.
I'm hardly against imagination. What I am against is a game full of conflict possibilites being turned into a game where picnics, marriages, and playful sports are the only things going on.
The sims type events just aren't cutting it to push this game forward.
This would give extremists from both Kami and Karavan an opportunity and an rp reason to come swooping in and assassinate the sacriligeous couple, slaughter all the guests, and destroy or loot all of the wedding gifts... and then turn on each other.
It also would give all the neutral players who stand for "unity against the kitin" a chance to defend the ceremony and try to keep it from being disrupted by the religious fanatics.
The conflict doesn't necessarily have to be simply Kami vs Karavan or racial in nature. The politics leading to conflict could be more complex than that =)
