The Ouroborus: A serpent circling around to devour her own tail… an ancient symbol of rebirth, rejuvenation, eternity; the cycles that define and make possible our existence.

Ouroborus Nocturna: A guild that understands these circular forces of renewal, and harnesses them for the greater good. Our guild symbol is a dark featureless circle - but we do not need to see the black Ouroborus on the background of night, to know that she is there. We need not portray the light explicitly--for that lives in our hearts, and is given life and meaning by the context of darkness.

The time has come in the cycle of the serpent for rebirth, rejuvenation... and recruits. We are looking for a few exceptional homins-- we do not seek vast numbers, as we understand the strength that comes from a tight-knit group of manageable size. We seek enthusiastic souls that are active often on Atys, savvy and unselfish, friendly and fun, loyal and honorable. You should have a mind of your own and not hesitate to speak it-- but also be willing to listen to, learn from, and respect the collective decisions of your guild mates. You should employ good team instincts and tactics, or at least be eager to acquire them. We are on good terms and have high fame with all races, so all races are welcome. We are followers of Kami-- so if you wish to join us, you should be also, and willing to work to further your Kami fame at the expense of your standing with the Karavan... one of the many things we can help you achieve with breathtaking speed.

Our guild is founded on democratic principles-- our leadership gives direction, not dictates, so important decisions are arrived at by discussion and consensus. We happily help each other achieve our individual goals and priorities, while banding together to achieve our collective goals. As part of our guild cycle of life, our crafters can provide you with all the equipment you will ever need-- while our hunters return all their useful mats for the crafters to further their skills. We adapt to the conditions of the moment, while never losing site of our long term goals. And we are a guild with strategic vision-- we are achieving great things now... taking down boss mobs and tribe commanders, crafting extraordinary equipment, harvesting the most prized materials on Atys, etc... but we are also planning and preparing for greater things in the future. When homins unearth the secrets of rebuilding the ruins, expect to see several outposts flying a circular black sigil over their lofty and well-armed ramparts.

We are currently comprised of mostly higher level homins-- however,if you fit the description given earlier it’s okay if you have not been on Atys for long. As long as you are enthusiastically willing and able to contribute to the team, we will enthusiastically help you achieve your goals along the way-- and we have the skills and resources to do that in style.

If, perchance, you are in a small guild with compatible philosophies, that has fallen below a critical mass in membership - we are open to discussions of merging your guild into ON.

I like to line our guild sigil up so that it's over somebody's head, and they end up looking like the Bic Pen guy
