Just read the first post, but maybe suggest a resellers flag to make it so that if you buy something of a merchant you can't sell it again to the merchant ? like you can't resell items that are not at full hp.haddo wrote:At least a couple resellers active right now - Munkie and Mudd selling high jewelry marked up from player prices.
Technically, this doesn't hurt me at all, I get my dapper from the sale. It does hurt the players that have limited funds. I want my jewels to be available at my prices or lower, not my prices or higher.
So I want to encourage players to buy from merchandise from the crafters which will help your fellow players. If the resellers aren't making sales, then lower priced merchandise will stay in stock. If you buy from the resellers, they will keep buying out the lower price merchandise and marking it up. Pass the word along in guild / region if you want also.
So, now you all can debate free market etc. My opinion is they add no value and aren't entitled to basicallys steal dapper from players.
Feel free to e-mail me and post here if you find other resellers or if you find out who the PCs are behind these guys, since they may be alts.

Why would you want to buy your goods back ?quasar11 wrote:A flag could cause considerable inconvience. I repurchase my goods constantly when I have more of the same to sell. This helps me from going over the 125 item limit. With a flag i'd have to buy from the vendor then go to another town to sell them back...thus burning a trip ticket at the least...assuming I could carry all the goods in one trip. This might work if the flag was voluntary, then the original seller would have control.
To be able to provide a wider variaty of goods while 127 slots is a max. Or because 3 x 6 fangs is 3 slots while buying them back converts them into a single slot stack of 18.geezas wrote:Why would you want to buy your goods back ?
How hard can it be to do that? Really, come on. Maybe what needs to be done is a thread, a sticky, on some spoken in game rules and courteousies as far as the market goes as well as what will happen if someone persists on ignoring those rules and courtiousies. Although, this thread seems pretty straight forward and to the point.rrwfreak wrote:It is my opinion and view that if you want to get into reselling a crafter's wares that you approach and discuss this with the crafter, working out some sort of spoken agreement. If the crafter says, no, that he or she isn't interested, then walk away and search out someone else.
It is common courteousy to do this. Personally I'm to busy digging and rezzing people or going on explorations and treks, but if it is your thing to be a second party merchant, have the courteousy to ask the crafter's permission and abide by their wishes.
