heh i bet 200 rifle will be better, i'm guessing launcher is "(Expert) Launchersman" to follow the trend of melee, but rifle will be "(Expert) Riflesman" with our without "expert" it sounds better

I am 221 ranged fighting for quite some time now, but have been quite inactive last weeks in Ryzom aswell..
The title for 200 rifle is: Rifleman
Ranged fighting is broken beyond realistic use, rifle fighting is the best middle way, trying to fight with any kind of launcher you will find out launchers are really broken beyond any use.
Then again, its great fun to do! lol
So lets w8 and see what the new ranged fighting balancing will do, im ready and waiting

Any bets on what 200 bowpistol would be ? Bowpistolman ?
Probably would be, which would be a rather derivative, uncreative title.
I would put the bowpistol as the 3rd most useless skill, right ahead of 1H staff and hand-to-hand combat. No offense to the boxers.
With the departure of Shykhandero, whose obscure passion for the bowpistol was unrivaled amongst sane homins, we may never know exactly how lame bowpistol may be at higher levels.

I am only guessing it will be: Pistoleer
Bowrifles are treaten as rifles for title and xp bar, so bow pistols are treated as pistols, going from the rifle title, that will make the following titles:
ranged fighter, light gunman, advanced light gunman, pistoleer, master pistoleer

Nice on 200 although i think launchers are pretty fine on how they work, i don't see why people complain when they drag around launchers, those are defensive weapons, and ammo are such because of the damage and usage (invasions)
Rifle does too little damage and needs more stanzas, more ammo crafted per, and a little more hpm to be inbetween 2h and 1h melee weapons without Hitrate + of course
Pistol is more of a "you reap what you sow" sorta thing, so no complaint there

Ranged fighting has always been my main skill, been called mad many times, but i like it its alot of fun.
It can be soloed but its hard work with alot of downtime for regen, my role in teaming is generally additional damage, secondary tank if main goes down, or switch to heal if the s*** really hits the fan.
Dont wanna get into a technical debate as i play for fun although i would very much like to see more development put into the skill as has been mentioned.

yeah talking about regen after soloing, you can never chain them because you get drained so much, you pretty much have to use max acc and max hitrate to get the damage in faster than the enemy, most of the time you also gotta wear good armor to protect yourself, now you are just an hp/stam drainer hpm is fine so the only thing left to change is the damage, it needs quite a bit more at level 150 and all the levels (because these are guns, just ask the soldiers around the world what they would use, a gun or sword) i actually wouldnt mind if the hpm was lowered way down on the rifle, but as long as the damage increases to fill the gap, maybe these can be fixed by making damage a working stat on guns? right now no matter how max the damage is on a gun, the ending mod is still +0, a gun should have considerable effect on the damage, and auto launcher could maybe be changed that it does the damage every "shot" it fires rather than after it goes through a whole round, it could become more of a machine gun this way
