- gm's are employed by Jold and are paid for thier job
- guides are there to take some load of the gm's back, they aren't paid and have been selected from the player base
- both guides and gm's have other player characters to (aldough the one from Turenkarn hasn't reached lvl 20 yet )
- guides have about the same power as gm's except for the roots and Nexus, only gm's can go there
- guides mostly answer questions, while only gm's warn people for bad behavior and can move players from one location to another (those who are stuck for example)

I agree but i also beg to differ...

it it true guides cant enter PR. Yet its false that guides cant move players, they can. i remember being stuck at the portal in void and it was Phaedrea that moved me. she is a GM now but was a guide back then
