fae, it might have been south of sunken city. I was exploring and heading toward demon's lap.
And I did get to demon's lap once, with a whole gang of mob chasing after me on my mount.
It was quite dissapointing, nothing there at all! Didn't even see an altar.

well most of the time in large groups it's a pointless death not a fun or meaningful one, cause the majority of the ppl are stupid wankers and go charging off into a bunch of aggro
getting large amounts of dp with my guildies is a fun thing sometimes, i do admit
but getting large amounts of dp with non-guildies who go running around willy nilly and don't have a clue what they're doing is no fun at all and rather frustrating

Sometimes getting dp in mixed group can work. On Sunday 4 failed assaults on desertstock did not result in much whining and I believe most had great time.
Those experiences are rare though and it was not same as sneaking trough PR...

Re: Tour around PR and The Sunken City
There are those of us who want things to be organized and efficient, and those of us who just want to have fun. When the two get combined things can get sour for both parties.
If I know it's just for fun I will be able to just die a lot and be fine with it. If, on the other hand, I feel that the point is to accomplish a goal, I get a bit angry at the people who are treating it as a more light-hearted thing (and usually getting the group wiped).
So I think it is important to get the whole point and attitude of an event down early on. I had a personal role in putting a damper on the event this sunday because I went into it assuming that it was a serious mission and many folks just wanted to have some fun.
But on topic, this sounds like a fun event I might be interested in if I'm free.

Well I don't mind how far we get and I'm not even sure its possible to kill a patrol but guess we can find out first hand
My view is this:
Just in case Ryzom folds - I want to have as much fun as possible and to explore very bit of land I havent thoroughly run through with mobs gnashing at my heels.
So I'll be leading the party and we will go the hardest way possible for maximum fun value. And if everyone dies - I'll personally respawn and rez everyone
There will be only one rule - kill what you want, when you want and dont worry about dying because somehow we will get rezed !
If you feel the urge to run off and kill a HUGE mob which has 700 helper mobs all as tough as the toughest mob in the world - then so be it - we will deal with it !
and if we all die - then we shall live again !
It's all about the experience - the danger - the edge ! None of this safe stuff will be going on - no safe paths thru the mobs i'm afraid - this will be all out death spree killing madness
mob after mob after mob and sometime 10's of mobs all at once !
There will be no stopping, and we will be running in huge circles and splitting up and rejoining all at the same time !
So if you want to come - be prepared whatever your level theres one thing for certain you *are* going to die and you *are* going to get max dp.
So level up, tool up, and get ready to rumble !

Woah... Uhh I'm in that group that likes things organized(dp isn't an issue) so doesn't sound like an event for me
I wish all of you the best of luck though! And take lots of screenies

It will be much more organised thank you think I'm sure - if only you knoew how much organisation is required to organise chaos ! lol
I remember the time I led 200 players into Loria and we all died ! Am I inspiring confidence yet?

RLOL - brace yourself Xorte - you're organizing an event Raku LOVES and he will probably knock you down in his enthusiam to sign up for more DP. Hopefully your event won't be at the same time as the TSO flea market. He's already signed up for that.

You aren't, I'd rather do that than grind EXP into the positive 8)kostika wrote:Sometimes dying together in groups like this doing things like this, can be jsut as fun as suceeding. I know I'm not alone in this philosophy.

If I have the time for it, I'd like to join. Of course, I can't actually hit things for the life of me, and my healing skills could use a bit of a freshen up, but I'm awfully charming while making things go from bad to worse.
