P.S. - gank per definition is when someone has NO chance of doing anything (i remember stuff like coming out portal and being dead right away in another game), but this is not the case > why? : 1- radar; 2- not phisically unable to do anything

Did any agro ever attack you (not only player, but also mobs) while harvesting? How many seconds did you lost then before geting sword or amp in your hands?
Just look at the screenshot at the messages in "system info" window. She had no chance at all. Even if she had magic aura, she is still without any chance, becouse the guy had his aura unused.
I met Savior once, in PR, and he rez me 2 times then (in PvP zone). Don't know him well tho, but does'nt look like a player who will this kind of thing. Any conflict history between him and Flora before this?

Have you ever been spell attacked while digging? Have you ever tried to cast a worthwhile spell without amps? In the time that it takes to get off a source and equip amps, you could be hit 2 or 3 times. 2 or 3 hits from an archmage can be over 1800hp per hit with good amps. Can you take that kind of damage while only wearing focus jewels and light focus armor? Also, spell damage appears in white which usually doesn't catch your attention and spell effects don't always render. So could, concievably be dead before you know what happened.


As for the thread topic:

There is no war yet. It is merely political tension. PR is not a war-zone. It is a lawless land where a homin's own sense of right and wrong is the only law. That being the case, those who feel the attack was malicious and unprovoked (as I do) should feel free to lable Savior as an outlaw and hunt him down. Those who don't agree should feel free to defend him should they see him attacked. If a person wants to claim that this kind of attack is simply RP, then by all means RP away. In civilized society, this kind of attack is called murder in peace time and war-crimes in war time. Label him a criminal and lynch him in the name of RP

Oh yes, and i only harvest lake and some forest (lowbie)... Not for blue dots ofc, but for that darn kincher on the fount koorin spot

Bottom line, PR is INTENTIONALLY a pvp area. Who goes there must expect to possibly be taken down, more even if that person has "enemies". I for one wouldnt expect anything else than that from some "nice people" (> lol stupid joke).

P.S. - besides this is peanuts, what i liked seeing the other day was a CO guy deliberatly pulling kinchers to the meks on fount... that was nice yes.

Yep, and it the reason my radar is only slightly to the left of center on my screen.

I am a pure breed harvest, spent along time studying mob patterns, including blue dots ( ).

Every since the early days, the Harvester code of Loria, ment the you watched the blue dot for Rezing.

These skills come in very useful now in the roots...

along with...

/who - know your enemy and know yourself and you will never fear the outcome of a thousand battles.

I have learned to tell mob types my the movements of the dots on the radar

But the best defence/offence in the roots is FRIENDS. I am not afraid to go into the roots. I know most of the players down there and I have me know to ask the question 'friend or foe?' on meeting a stranger

Allow me to be the devil's advocate.

You were harvesting in a PvP area and a player killed you?

If you don't want to be killed by players, don't go to an PvP area. If you have to go there accept what happens.
Do you expect aggro mobs not to kill you? No? Why shouldn't players in PvP if they want to.
If it was one attack, don't pull about the 'old grief bunny' out of the hat.

For those just tuning in, there have been several requests for harvesters to be left alone in PvP/PR areas.
Some have agreed to this, others haven't.
Don't presume to be safe just because some say they won't attack you.

Hail each other if you see another player in range and made temporary agreement for non-aggression and such, if you don't know the person.
